Guangxi is the world's largest medicinal botanical garden. On the first day in Guangxi, when I was living in Nanning, every time I was in a hurry. The world's largest medicinal plant garden! It's actually in Guangxi!
Guangxi Medicinal Botanical Garden is located in the northern suburbs of Nanning, a lushly vegetated park with a wide variety of medicinal plants. Not only are there familiar medicinal herbs such as Bidens pilosa and Euphorbia hirta, but also many unheard of, bizarre medicinal plants that are eye-opening.
The garden is very large, it is recommended to enter from the west gate (Gate 2), which is close to the Science Park. The park also has a south gate (Gate 1) and a north gate (Gate 3) for visitors to enter and exit. It takes about 15 minutes to walk from the south gate to the Science Park.
After entering the west gate, visitors can visit the Medicinal Garden Memorial Forest, Medicinal Diet Hall, Guangxi Specialty Medicinal Area, Prescription Verification Corridor and Science Park in order. The Science Park is based on Li Shizhen's 'Compendium of Materia Medica' and is divided into several areas. The grass section is convenient and worth a careful look, where visitors can find familiar plants like Bidens pilosa, Euphorbia hirta, and Camellia sinensis. In the Prescription Verification Corridor, visitors can find corresponding plants according to human system diseases and experience the fun of 'prescribing the right medicine'.
In addition to the Science Park, there are also endangered medicinal areas, shade-tolerant medicinal areas, ethnic medicinal areas, medicinal animal areas and other characteristic areas towards the exit. The medicinal botanical garden is lush with trees and vines, and the air is particularly fresh. Walking around here, you can not only increase your knowledge of medicinal plants, but also relax and enjoy the beauty of nature.
There is also a Medicinal Plant Expo Center in the park. The living room displays dozens of herbs. When you go in, everyone is soaking their feet, probably referring to soaking feet in herbal water. Many visitors will sit down and rest their feet here. The entire botanical garden is lush with trees and vines, and everywhere is green, with pergolas interspersed in between, and the air is particularly fresh. Walking around here, you can also increase your knowledge of medicinal plants.
