Outstanding view of the Cathedral
#summerbreak
Fantastic view here just right across the most popular cathedral in the world. Florence gets extremely busy and full of tourist especially in summer time that you may only hear people speak in English due to the high volume of tourism.
The whole tower it is secured upstairs, so pics can be taken but they will always have bar due to the high risk of falling.
There are a lot of narrow steps to climb, so you may want to keep that in mind.
Best time to go will be during the month of May, June or September, avoid July and August due to crowds and heat.
Place to eat: Pochetta sandwiches is a must here! fresh delicious and daily specials are available 😃

Amazing building. Italy’s cathedrals never cease to impress me. Every time I go near it I am in awe of its beauty. I would recommend to buy a ticket to climb the tower. With the tower, you’ll still get the view of the Duomo, but perhaps without the day long queues. The morning time is much easier in terms of crowds than evening times. Even at midnight the crowd never stops. Definitely go here when you get the chance!#境外遊 #awesomepic

Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral
Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral, as one of the five major cathedrals in the world, is located in the historical center of Florence, Italy. This magnificent architectural complex includes the cathedral, bell tower and baptistery, and was listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1982.
The cathedral is decorated with white, red, and green granite on its exterior, perfectly reflecting the Renaissance pursuit of classicism, elegance, and freedom. The original site was once the 4th-century Church of Saint Reparata, until 1296, when the new church was funded by Cosimo di Giovanni de' Medici of the Medici family, and the construction took 175 years to complete.
The cathedral dome designed by Brunelleschi, modeled after the Pantheon in Rome, is a classic example of the combination of classical art and science at the time. Even the Pope praised it as a 'mythical creation', and a musician even composed a concerto for it. Michelangelo, when designing the St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican, also imitated this dome and lamented that he could not surpass its beauty. It is worth noting that Brunelleschi did not use sketches and calculation data during the construction process, as if he had a complete concept in his mind. Brunelleschi rests in the basement of the church, and his statue stands in the church square, guiding people to appreciate the dome he is proud of.
The interior of the church is equally breathtaking, with Vasari's dome painting 'The Last Judgment' and the mural 'Dante and The Divine Comedy' commemorating the 200th anniversary of Dante's birth, among other works. Visitors can climb the 463 steps on the north side to the dome for a view of the old city of Florence.

Have you checked in to the ten most romantic countries in the world?
The ten most romantic countries in the world, you must go and see.
❤①Italy
The beauty of Italy is ancient, passionate, fanatical, and more romantic.
It's you exploring Audrey Hepburn's footsteps in the Spanish Square in Roman Holiday, it's you gazing at your lover in the Florence Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, it's you pushing a gondola into the small streets and alleys in the water city of Venice. It's you stepping on Sicily to see the most romantic sunset.
❤②France
If Paris is a flowing feast, then France is permanent romance.
Follow the footsteps of purple water chestnut and cloud sail into Paris, into Provence, into the lavender fields, into the ancient castles full of stories, and also into the arms of your own lover.
❤③Indonesia Bali
Bali is known as the island of the gods, a place blessed by heaven, a land full of love, natural and pure beauty, unique Hindu culture. Pursue the freedom and romance of the soul to Bali.
❤④Turkey
Turkey, like a wild horse, ran from Asia and crashed into the European continent. When the hot air balloon in Cappadocia rises, I think: I wish you and I can wander in this world with the most humble luggage and the richest self.
❤⑤Slovenia
The only country with 'love' in its name, love is romantic because of companionship. And my love is hidden in every moment.
❤⑥Iceland
To love at the end of the world is the most beautiful praise for Iceland. I don't have a big wish, my only wish is to go to the end of the world with you. Some people say that the end of the world is loneliness, but it is this loneliness that needs to be loved. Loneliness itself is also a kind of romance.
❤⑦Greece
The sunset of Santorini is an indelible romance in life. Love you before sunset, pour all the blue and white in the world, searching for all the sadness and joy in the world. Freeze love in front of your eyes.
❤⑧Maldives
At the time you like, in the way you like, do what you like the most. This is the romantic life I want most in the Maldives.
❤⑨Australia
Everyone says, you must come to the Great Barrier Reef once in your life. Fortunately, there is love, fearless mountains and seas. I think the mountains and seas are a particularly romantic word, without boundaries, without constraints, both the destination and the home.
❤⑩China
The romance of China is hidden in the longing of 'The so-called Yi people, on the other side of the water' in the Book of Songs, also hidden in the persistence of 'I see all beings are grass and wood, only seeing you is the green mountain', and more hidden in the prayer of 'How can the world get the best of both worlds, not betray the Tathagata, not betray you'. The romance of the Chinese lies in the fact that every sentence does not mention I love you, but every sentence is I love you.

Unlocking the 'Dante Code' of Florence - Santa Maria del Fiore
Florence in Xu Zhimo's pen, the heat of love; Florence in 'The Da Vinci Code', full of suspense. Which one is you, pack your bags, let's explore it ourselves~
Santa Maria del Fiore is a legendary building. The church was founded in 1296 and consecrated in 1436.
Its most eye-catching orange dome, the exterior is made of white, green, and pink marble, and there are many statues, soft and harmonious, without the oppression of Gothic. It also witnessed the glory of the Renaissance.
You can see the whole view of Florence from Michelangelo Square (Picture 1 above), and you can overlook the dome at close range from the bell tower (Picture 1 below).
In front of the church is a golden door, the door of heaven, with reliefs of stories from the Old Testament of the Bible, the original works are preserved in the museum. (Picture 6)
It's a pity that I didn't go to the museum.
Florence, Italy, I will come again, meet you again along Dan Brown's route.

Try to buy tickets online; pay attention to the valuables you carry.

A classic check-in spot! Complete guide to the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore
When in Florence, you must visit the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore⛪️!
Here you can find the world's largest dome🏵 and the huge ceiling painting 'The Last Judgment'🎨, beautiful from any angle~
|Ticket options:
➀ Brunelleschi Pass 🎫30 euros (Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore + crypt + dome + bell tower + baptistery + museum)
➁ Giotto Pass 🎫20 euros (without dome)
➂ Ghiberti Pass 🎫15 euros (without dome and bell tower)
🟢
There are several types of tickets for the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, you can buy according to your needs! It's best to choose between the dome and the lighthouse, otherwise the nearly 40 floors of exercise can easily exhaust you~
🟢
The ticket is valid for three days, but it's for one entry, not unlimited entries for three days, you can choose the time slot according to your own pace.
🟢
Personally, I don't think the baptistery and the crypt are that interesting, but the museum is quite good, there is a Chinese guide, you can spend more than two hours listening to the explanation and walk through it. (ps: free toilets are available throughout the museum, which is great)
🟢
If you only want to visit the 'Last Judgment' in the dome of the cathedral, you can enter from the free queue entrance next to the bell tower, but you must queue up as early as possible, there are many! Many people in line! And, it may close after 4 pm.

Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore
#wheretogo The Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore is an architectural masterpiece that leaves a profound impact with its stunning beauty. Its exterior appears almost like a three-dimensional painting, with intricate details and a design that reflects the true essence of Italian Renaissance architecture.
During my visit, the sheer crowd prevented me from exploring the interior, but witnessing the Duomo from the outside was an experience in itself. The visual splendor of the cathedral's facade, with its intricate marble work and iconic dome, is awe-inspiring. The sheer scale and artistic brilliance of the Duomo are a testament to the city's rich cultural heritage.
What made the experience even more enchanting was the contrast between the day and night views. While the daytime allowed for a detailed examination of the facade, the nighttime view transformed the Duomo into a different kind of spectacle. The subtle illumination highlighted the architectural elements and created an atmosphere of reverence and wonder.
In summary, the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore is a must-see for anyone visiting Florence. Its exterior alone is a mesmerizing work of art that captures the essence of Italian Renaissance architecture.

Beautiful florence
Went to the duomo, also known as the florence cathedral to climb the bell tower for this impressive view of the entire historical centre. The climb was manageable with about 460+ steps with breaks in between. Totally worth the climb up and was rewarded with this magnificent view! We bought the giotto pass to gain access to this bell tower and remember to book the time slot for your ascend up to the viewpoint!

Florence and the main attractions
#bucketlistreboot
As any self respecting tourist start your day early on and go to the main attraction: Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore. This cathedral features on all of the main posters and brochures regarding Florence. Right next to the cathedral, you can also see the adjacent Giotto’s Bell Tower. Once you go in the cathedral, you’ll be met with a spectacular view of the various pieces of art depicting Saints and other such religious motifs. The interior of the Dome is particularly exciting and depicts the Heavens and the The Last Judgment as ordered by the Medici family.

When you come to Florence, the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore is a must-visit. In addition to the free visits inside the church, several other attractions need to buy a package, including: towers, domes, baptistery, underground palaces and church museums, coupon prices 15, you can buy online in advance, because the time to board the dome must be booked in advance, or you have to wait a long time! I would like to add a little more here. I must remember to print out the e-tickets sent to the mailbox after the online purchase, otherwise I will not let them in.
The dome of the cathedral can be said to be one of the most exquisite masterpieces of the Renaissance. After more than 400 steps, the first thing you can admire is the incomparably gorgeous murals painted in the late 16th century. The scene of the final judgment. The top of the
dome is like the best 360° panoramic view of Florence, with a view of the city of Florence from every angle. I have to say that it is really hot to reach the top at noon. I must remember to bring enough water. The scenery in Florence is also very impressive.

The Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, Florence is a classic Renaissance building. The exterior is made of three colors of marble. It is beautiful and distinctive. It is very beautiful and solemn from any angle. The huge dome of the church is even more impressive. The interior is painted with a huge zenith painting, "The Last Judgment", and the beautiful relief on the bronze door of the Baptistry is praised by Michelangelo as "the gate of heaven."
