Moscow's Underground Palace – The Moscow Metro

The Moscow Metro reaches depths of a hundred meters, and its construction began during the Tsarist era, with wartime air defense already in mind. The long escalators seem to have no end in sight. Upon entering the metro station, one is immediately struck by the lavish decorations. The roaring sound of the approaching trains is deafening, and the historically rich train windows are left open, hurtling forward deep underground. The subway of the fighting nation indeed has a combative style. The platforms of the metro stations are worthy of being called underground palaces! Intricate and exquisite carvings, colorful mosaic puzzles, numerous sculptures, beautiful crystal chandeliers, classic chandeliers, and carved decorations full of retro charm adorn these spaces. The mosaic puzzles on the domes mostly depict scenes from Russian history and wars, as well as the idyllic life during the Soviet socialist era. Each subway station has its own unique style. The most five-star metro stations are found on the 5th circular line, so living near the 5th line allows for convenient access to these stations.
