Jianshui Chanshan Ancient Village in Yunnan

The ancient Yi village of Chanshan, nestled deep in the mountains and established during the Qing dynasty, is hailed as the Potala Palace of Yunnan. The entire village is situated atop a mountain, surrounded by layers of terraced fields. The ancient Yi-style dwellings spread along the contours of the mountain, with construction materials mainly consisting of adobe, stone, and wood. Adapting to local conditions and using local materials, it showcases the original ecological style of the Yi people.
