The Fujian Museum is a provincial comprehensive museum that integrates cultural relic protection, archaeological research, history, natural specimens, and art studies. It has 15 departments including cultural relic conservation, exhibition display, publicity and education, archaeological research, professional exchanges, the Natural History Hall, the Accumulated Jade Garden Art Gallery, as well as security and administrative management. The Fujian Museum covers an area of 60,000 square meters, with a building area of 35,000 square meters. The museum complex consists of the Exhibition Hall, the Natural History Hall, the Comprehensive Building, and the Cultural Heritage Training Center. The overall architecture features a unique marine culture while also incorporating the stone culture of Southern Fujian and the architectural style of ancient Fujian buildings. The new museum also has facilities such as a multifunctional academic lecture hall, a video hall, a VIP hall, conference rooms, the 'Bo Garden' cultural heritage training center, and the 'Yi An Ju' tea art room.
