Afternoon wandering in the Béren district.

This afternoon, I arrived at the Belen district. After visiting the monastery, finished eating egg tarts. Next, we arrived at the Tower of Belém. This 16th-century stone tower is one of Portugal's most famous landmarks. It is located on the banks of the Tagus River and was once the starting point for sailors heading to the New World. Climb up the Belém Tower to overlook the city and enjoy the magnificent river view. Belen Tower is not big, but there is control on going up and down the stairs, so there may be a slight queue. The wind is strong, remember to keep warm. The Belém Tower can also be visited for free with the Lisbon Card. ⚠️If you have food and drinks in your hands, remember to throw them in the trash can behind before entering. After strolling through the Belém Tower, you can see a row of vendors by crossing the adjacent grassland. The local guide said that things here are more affordable than in the shops in the old town area. However, personally I think there are still many shops worth visiting in the old city area 😆. After finishing shopping, we drove to the Almada district to see the statue of Christ the King. Actually, I was looking forward to wandering around Almada and discovering its unique beauty. Unfortunately, it started pouring rain when we got there and the driver wasn't very familiar with the area. Just hastily took a photo of the statue of Jesus and rushed back to Lisbon city.
