Shocking! A must-visit World Heritage Site in one's lifetime!

Driving from Luxor to Aswan, our main purpose was to visit the most remote temple—Abu Simbel Temple, located at the very end of the Egyptian border. A round trip in a single day requires a 7-hour drive, but this World Heritage Site is truly worth it. The colossal statues of Ramses II are absolutely awe-inspiring. This temple was once buried under the sand, and it took great efforts to reveal it to the world once again. Below is our entire self-drive journey through Egypt over half a month.
