"This hotel is incredibly beautiful, with a rich and amazing atmosphere! It's located on one of the most stunning beaches, Kendwa Beach! We were very happy with our stay here. The rooms are all clean and lovely, with everything you need, including air conditioning, so you won't be hot! Housekeeping is daily, and the hotel grounds are huge, with lots of plants and walking areas. The large restaurant serves incredibly delicious food! In the morning, you can enjoy a buffet breakfast with a huge variety of incredibly tasty dishes. In the evenings, the restaurant prepares amazing meals! My recommendation is to try their fish of the day and BBQ shrimp, as well as the Idaho rolls – absolutely delicious! Every evening, dinner is accompanied by some kind of show, performance, songs, or dancing! This really adds to the wonderful atmosphere of the place! The hotel has direct access to the beach, which is incredibly convenient! There are plenty of sun loungers on the beach, enough for all guests. The hotel is perfect for those who love a quiet and peaceful vacation, as everything here is designed for guests' comfort. They also congratulated us on a holiday, which was very touching and pleasant! A huge thank you to the hotel for their work and hospitality! We will definitely come back here again!"

"After a safari, we spent a few days relaxing in Zanzibar, and this hotel definitely has its pros and cons. Pros: 1. All-inclusive package. You can pretty much eat at any of the 4 restaurants and 5 bars. There's also a free gelato shop and the minibar is complimentary. 2. The food is decent. Jua Grill is highly recommended, the food there is excellent. Unfortunately, when we wanted to order lobster for a second round, it was already sold out. The Asian buffet and the à la carte options at the main restaurant are also good. 3. The ocean water is fantastic, and you can see the private island across the way. Cons: 1. The staff's service attitude is inconsistent; some are great, while others... not so much. 2. Although the hotel has a private beach, it's a popular spot for dolphin tours. This means there are a lot of beach boys trying to sell things on the sand, which isn't ideal for introverts like me. 3. I'm not sure if it's because it's by the sea, but the bedding always seemed to have a faint smell."

"The value for money is average; the price is a bit high, which is understandable since it's a tourist spot and a bit far from the beach. This is likely due to it being newly renovated. The hotel sign isn't even up yet. However, the owner's service is really excellent."

"The entire island experiences intermittent power outages. I encountered this about three times a day in both the restaurant and my room, each lasting less than ten seconds before power was restored. Some of the staff, especially a female chef at one of the restaurants (the head chef rotates nightly), showed clear disdain for Asian guests. Upon check-in, a male front desk staff member saw that I only had a small backpack (a tiny summit pack, as my main luggage was left in Kilimanjaro and not brought to Zanzibar). I was already carrying it myself, but he forcibly took it from me, even after I told him it wasn't necessary, clearly trying to earn a tip. Once in the room, he kept making small talk and wouldn't leave, seemingly afraid I wouldn't tip him. I ended up giving him one. When I was checking out, my flight was delayed, so I asked if I could extend my check-out by an hour. The staff confirmed that an extension wasn't possible, but I could still use the hotel's beverage, snack, and other facilities. Since I had an all-inclusive package, I double-checked with a male staff member on the phone and a female staff member at the front desk about getting a drink, given my flight was delayed by three hours (my check-out was at 12 PM, and I hoped to leave around 1 PM). They both said it was fine. So, at 12:30 PM, I had a glass of orange juice by the pool. At 1 PM, as I was leaving the hotel, I was stopped and asked to pay. The staff member who had previously confirmed this with me, along with another server (not the beverage server), debated with me in front of their supervisor. Eventually, the supervisor, James, intervened and told me I could leave. One of the bartenders at the beach bar also displayed discrimination towards Asians, practically fawning over white guests. I sat there for ages, and he ignored me even after I politely asked for the menu twice, pretending not to hear. As soon as a white person sat down, he was instantly there, chatting them up. Overall, I'm dissatisfied with the service. Some staff members' English was poor, leading to communication misunderstandings (and I've studied English for many years and graduated with an English degree). The excessive debating in front of a customer also doesn't reflect good service. There were instances of discrimination and being forced into tipping. The entire service experience was very poor. The beach, however, is excellent, and the hotel's location is good."

"Good hotel, the grounds are small but well-maintained. Breakfasts are standard, everything you need is there, nothing fancy, but it's a shame there's no variety. The hotel and restaurant staff are friendly and go out of their way for guests. The beach isn't perfectly clean, I wouldn't say that (trash cans, ashtrays, dishes are rarely cleared). The rooms are decent, with minor imperfections, but they didn't bother us. Overall, I recommend it, a solid 4+ star hotel."

"The Lux Marijani Zanzibar hotel was a DREAM ✨ The hotel getaway you never knew you needed. The hotel is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes away from the airport. Upon arriving at the hotel we were warmly greeted by hospitable staff and amazing refreshments 🍹 The transition to our room was seemless thanks to our wonderful concierge Temba 👏 The room was beautifully decorated and spacious with a great view of the hotel’s private beach. It was equipped with a hair dryer, bathrobes, slippers, a kettle and a TV (with YouTube access). The hotel is perfect for couples and family alike. With an extraordinary food menu from its three restaurants. The hotel offers regular themed buffet meals ( Mexican Night/ BBQ Night) for its guests. It offers meals right around the clock: Breakfast ($35 usd), Lunch ($35 usd) & Dinner ($45 usd). There is also an option to pay from all-inclusive meal packages upon arrival. Special shout out to Chef Desi for his mouthwatering coconut delights, I will miss that the most! 😂 The hotel’s facilities also include a pool 🏊♀️ and a gym 🏋️♀️ (open from 7am-6pm). There are also various daily activities like Marco Polo, table tennis, art class, cooking class and beach volleyball to name a few. It was overall a great experience staying at the Lux Marijani Zanzibar and I would urge everyone to enjoy this experience on their own. Whether it’s dancing the night away to the music of the live band or just taking a sunset stroll on the beach. It was truly a life-changing and I highly recommend staying here. You can thank me later❤️❤️❤️"

"Wspaniała obsługa, miejsce super jeśli ktoś nie lubi dużych resortów. Hotel dosłownie na plaży tylko wychodzisz i można wskakiwać do wody. Urocza restauracja i bardzo klimatyczna zwłaszcza wieczorami gdy wystawią stoliki na plaży, trzeba to przeżyć żeby się dowiedzieć bardzo polecam!"

"The rooms are all villas, equipped with swimming pools, bubble bath jacuzzis, bathtubs and multiple lounge chairs. The facilities are first-class. There are two restaurants. The meals are also very rich. Enjoy the food while blowing the sea breeze!"

"We stayed for two days, from February 13th to 15th. We booked rooms in different locations to experience different views, and both the garden and the ocean views were beautiful. The staff were all friendly and the food was good. However, we had to check out at dawn on the 15th, so we asked the reception, and the staff at the desk during dinner treated us very disappointingly. They made fun of our English pronunciation in a comical way, even though we live in a non-English speaking country. They also told us to go back to our room and get another card because the Mastercard logo was on the card machine, and when we asked them to try paying, they sarcastically asked if it was the right card. Of course, the card machine recognized the card and the payment was made perfectly. I didn't know that it was the management policy of this resort to make fun of customers who are not good at English and treat them like thieves. If I had known, I wouldn't have made a reservation, but except for that problematic staff member, all the staff were friendly and the facilities were satisfactory. I think I need to think more about whether it is worth enduring the ridicule."
