Because we were traveling to and from the Great Ocean Road to see the Twelve Apostles, we saw this resort hotel that included breakfast, and the price was very reasonable. Plus, the hotel isn't far from the Geelong visitor center, so we could also take a stroll along Geelong's waterfront. The room was spacious, and the shower facilities with a handheld showerhead were excellent, making it perfect for a family road trip to use as a stopover on the way to the Great Ocean Road. Although the hotel breakfast wasn't particularly elaborate, basic items like eggs, various breads, yogurt, juice, coffee, and tea were available from 7 AM, which is great for travelers who need to get an early start.

We had a lovely stay at Balgownie Estate. The room was spacious, very clean, and comfortable, with a relaxing balcony that offered a beautiful view of the stars at night. It really added a special touch to the stay. The breakfast buffet was generally okay, a decent selection to start the day, though not particularly outstanding. Overall, it’s a peaceful retreat in a great location, perfect for unwinding and enjoying the beauty of the Yarra Valley.

Though not large, it's compact and very new. It has everything you need despite its size, and the location is excellent, very close to the train station. Shopping and transportation nearby are extremely convenient. The State Library is just a short walk away.

The facilities are basic, but it's relatively tidy and clean, typical of a standard motel. The reception closes quite early, so if you're arriving late, remember your key will be under the doormat. I managed to capture the Gemini constellation with my phone on the beach around 10 pm, which was very satisfying. The acai bowl at the nearby Rawr Bar cafe was delicious. Sitting outside on a sunny morning, slowly enjoying breakfast and coffee, then strolling on the large beachfront lawn before driving off to find koalas – it was perfect.

We booked a two-bedroom suite, which was actually two separate rooms connected, and having two bathrooms was a definite plus. The location is right in the town center, making it super convenient for dining and shopping. There's an underground parking lot, but the entrance is a bit tricky to find; you'll need to slow down and look carefully as you approach. Check-in was handled by a handsome Chinese guy, which was a nice touch 😋. On the downside, the living room floor was a bit slippery, the lighting in the room was a bit dim, and the bathroom was a little cold at night. No power for majority of our stay. This mean no air conditioning, no lifts to assist with luggage, no tv, hot water, working fridge or cooking facilities, no spa, limited gym, very dark passage ways and no lighting in car park and some stair wells. The onsite cafe was closed and even the pedal karts the kids wanted to use were all broken and not able to use. Staff considering the issues were lovely and the resort itself was how we hoped, but needed up wasting our time and money for this stay. No offer of compensation or refund. Very disappointed.

The check in and check out was seemless. The apartment was big enough for our family and quite cosy. The only part is the washing machine and dryer are outside and have opening and closing hours. If it can be open 24/7 it would be perfect.

I have 2 issues one is the check in and check out time 10 am check out is too early if check in is after 2pm . I wanted to purchase breakfast add on but was told not possible at food checkout even though they had terminal, had to go to reception to do , however reception said they could do at breakfast bar which I just came from !  Second at reception I informed them that my room would not be vacant rd until breakfast was consumed at 10.30 , no problems but upon returning to room it had been serviced at some of my belongings removed!! Room size is a bit small & the room allocated to us is having problem with hot water shower. However, the hotel is kind enough to provide another room for us to shower.

I arrived at late check-in time on 2/11 Sunday and Mildua Inlander's staff was after office hour so I contacted to staff for room check-in by phone call, Staff are so helpful to help me to collect the room key and required admin work. However, due to the resort's layout and my room location(my room is ROOM 90), the circulation of the hotel is not poor, poor room ordering(it is not by 101 for on 1/F like typical hotel, it is using 1-50 for G/F, 51-100 for level 1; if 101-110 for block 1, 121-129 for block 2, 131-139 for block 3, 141-150 for block 4 would be better), no coherent corridor at the end, not much signage and map/easy to miss, no Lift or easy ramp for level 1. so, it is hard to find my room and poor experience before entry the room. Room is good for me. One thing is: can consider to have openable window after the mosquito net on the balcony sliding door if I don't want to turn on the air-conditioner.
