If you enjoy traveling off the beaten track and enjoy some peace and quiet in the mountains then this could be the hotel for you. Location is approximately a 4 hour drive from Kunming with the last 40km winding up the mountain. Hotel is located 350m down a path from the car park (contact the hotel staff and they will meet you at the car park to help with your baggage). Staff very friendly and helpful, all our requests were meet with ease. Stay here to easily visit Azheke Village (at time of review undergoing extensive renovation). We visited in at the start of August, despite rainy weather most of our stay we still managed to capture some good views down the valley.

The mountain road is rugged and the Aiwu section is really challenging. There was a landslide due to heavy rain the day before yesterday. There were few cars. When we arrived at the B&B, chickens and ducks greeted us along the way. The fallen rocks on the terraced fields can be picked with one hand. It's very nice.
