Hotels in West Area, Xining

This is probably the best hotel in Xining. The service and facilities are well-maintained, the rooms are spacious, the bedding is comfortable, and the cleanliness is excellent. It's located in a bustling area with several shopping complexes nearby, which might lead to some noise at night (due to outside activities).

Service: First of all, I would like to affirm the service attitude of the waiter, which is really good. He really helped in various ways. I sincerely thank him! ! ! Facilities: I stayed for several days this time. The first and last days were relatively quiet. The two rooms next door in the middle two days were really annoying! The room was not soundproofed and the quality of the guests was very poor. They were still shouting loudly at 12:00 in the evening. I didn't sleep well at all! ! !

The hotel's location is excellent, with convenient access to dining, shopping, and transportation. Our room on a high floor offered beautiful views overlooking Xining city. The duty manager, 'Xiyifang' (laundry room), was incredibly warm and attentive. Seeing we had a child, they proactively upgraded our room for free, which was very thoughtful. There's also a late-night snack service; if you're hungry coming back late, you can grab some wontons or tangyuan. It's really good. Highly recommend. Finally, Qinghai is absolutely stunning, a must-visit!

I booked this hotel as the grand finale of my Qinghai-Gansu loop trip, and overall, it was quite good. Seeing me arrive travel-worn, they thoughtfully arranged a high-floor room for better rest. The butler, Lina, added me on WeChat and provided incredibly detailed information, including a list of nearby restaurants and attractions. The room decor was lovely, even featuring a plant, and some design elements were very considerate. For example, the body lotion was easily accessible, so you could apply it while watching TV in bed – very relaxing. I hope they can improve the voice control system, consider cleaning the exterior of the windows, and upgrade the bedside alarm clock/Bluetooth speaker, as it falls a bit short compared to other hotels.

This was by far the worst hotel we stayed at on our Qinghai-Gansu loop tour, completely lacking any sense of service. From the front desk to the restaurant staff and even the greeters, we felt no warmth and were met with cold faces almost everywhere. The room phone was always unreachable and there were no instructions on how to use it. I really don't understand how this hotel operates and is managed. No matter how grand its appearance, it'll be hard to attract repeat customers with service like that. Quite a disappointment.

The location is great, right across from Wanda Plaza, making shopping, leisure, and dining super convenient. There's plenty of parking both above ground and underground. The hotel facilities are decent; not new, but not run-down either. Most hotels in Xining don't have air conditioning. Breakfast selection is good – not super extensive, but all the essentials are there. The staff are all very enthusiastic and respond quickly. Given it's peak season, the price is what it is. Overall, I'm satisfied; you can't have everything.

The hotel opened this year. The room is large and the decoration is very high-end, which meets my aesthetic taste. The whole house is smart, the lights and curtains can be voice-controlled, there is also a smart toilet, the projection image quality is very clear, and we also watched a movie at night. The bed is very clean and soft, and there are washing machines, refrigerators, and induction cookers. The hotel is only a few minutes' walk from Wanda. There are also many delicious foods around the hotel, which is very convenient for eating and shopping. Maybe because of the altitude, the bath water is a little small, and the full-body mirror at the door of the bathroom is a funhouse mirror, which makes me happy. Everything else is great! It's a pity that we have to rush the schedule, otherwise we will definitely stay a few more nights.

The hotel is clean, location is great to the nearby supermarket, shopping malls and the wildlife park. Many restaurants around. It would be great if there's dryer attached with washing machine. Breakfast is great, blended with both western and Chinese selections. I came back to stay with Sebel after my previous stay because of the friendly and informative stuffs who have helped me with the luggages and check in. However, why I rated the service with lower point because after I came back to stay for 2 consecutive nights, we have encountered different stuffs that gave totally opposite vibes, which were arrogant and no greetings, no smile.

The Atour S Hotel SDIC Plaza Haihu New District Xining is very new, and both the rooms and the overall environment are very clean. The breakfast selection is rich, and the beef noodles are delicious. Parking is also very convenient for those driving, which is awesome! The staff service is also very attentive; they answer all questions and resolve issues quickly.

Let's start with the positives: 1. The hotel is a convenient 10-minute walk to Wanda Plaza. The breakfast variety and taste are both excellent. They have everything from mini wontons, noodles, bread, cakes, yogurt, stir-fries, congee, cereal, and juices (of course, it can't compare to a five-star hotel, but it's very good for a hotel of its caliber). 2. The hotel offers a self-service laundry room with complimentary washers and dryers. There are even sticky notes and magnets next to them, so you can write your room number on a note and attach it. If you can't pick up your laundry promptly, the staff can retrieve it, put it into a laundry bag, and deliver it to your room. This is absolutely fantastic! Now for the downsides: 1. The room I booked was advertised as having a smart toilet, but the bidet function didn't work; the water sprayed downwards instead of upwards. 2. The mini-fridge in the room was very noisy, clearly old and due for replacement. Plus, it was unplugged, and I had to pull it out to plug it in (I'm guessing the previous guest unplugged it because of the noise, but it should have been plugged back in during room cleaning, otherwise the next guest can't get cold drinks). Finally, a positive note on the service: I left in a hurry and forgot my charger in the room. After I called, the staff immediately verified they found it and promptly couriered it to the specified address. The response time was very quick! I have to give them high praise for the service.
