Hotels in Xining Railway Station, Xining

My last night in Xining, I chose this hotel mainly because it's close enough to the train station. The hotel's underground parking lot seems to have a limited number of spaces (similar to the Holiday Inn Express I stayed at before). You need to get a handwritten pass from the front desk to enter and exit without paying for parking. I arrived around 3:30 PM, and they said the room was still being inspected, so I had to wait a bit before getting the room card. The front desk also gave me two complimentary vouchers for afternoon tea on the top floor. I checked it out later, and honestly, it felt less impressive than the breakfast's dessert, fruit, and beverage selection. 😅 I got a room on the 20th floor with views of the mountains to the north and south of Xining, so I guess you could call it a ”mountain view + city view” room. Breakfast was pretty standard. The local specialties from Qinghai were 'sanzi' and 'huahua' (I think that's what it was called, also a fried starchy food). Similar to other HUAZHU hotels I've stayed at, this one had many tourists from eastern China. Around 8 AM, the restaurant and elevators became particularly crowded. Goodbye, Xining! 👋

Took us some time to understand how things function in the room, but we finally got it. We missed the AC most. Although the city is at almost 2300 m alttitude, it can get hot in the summer and there's only a narrow window in the room. Too little to cool it over the night. No fridge means no cold drinks either. And also the shower nozzle is not fully functional. Water is fighting its way out of that 😵 But there is a nice lobby and also the room looks good. We did get a surprise snack around 10.00 pm. All put together I would say 'Better try one of the other hotels in the neighbourhood.'

Five-star review! ✨ Super convenient for electric car owners with the hotel's own charging stations. The front desk staff were attentive and friendly, and their service was top-notch. The rooms were spotless, tidy, and quiet, making for a fantastic stay. I'll definitely choose this hotel again for my next trip!

Arrived in the morning, and since the train from Xining to Hangzhou was about 5 hours away, I chose an all-season hotel near Xining Railway Station and booked a 4-hour hourly room. All-season hotels are a national chain, and their service and other aspects are quite good. I usually choose them for my travels, and this time in Xining, I wasn't disappointed!

The room was clean and tidy, and the central air conditioning allowed me to adjust the temperature myself. The shower had great water pressure and was super hot and comfortable. Parking was also incredibly convenient, and the breakfast was delicious. Even though there were many people eating breakfast, the service attitude was consistently excellent. The cleaning staff in the hallways would also greet me warmly, which was really heartwarming. The front desk even upgraded my room for free because I had a baby with me, which I truly appreciated! Highly recommended!!

Everyone in our group stayed at Orange Hotel this time and had a really great experience! The breakfast was excellent too. From the moment we walked in, the staff were incredibly welcoming and enthusiastic. The rooms and all the amenities at Orange Hotel smelled wonderful, and everything was clean, tidy, and felt high-end. The laundry room, gym, and restaurant are all conveniently located on the second floor, which was also very comfortable. Overall, we had an exceptional stay.

Pros: For its price point, the hygiene, soundproofing, and location are top-notch. It's right next to the train station, and even in a room at the end of the hall, you can't hear any outside noise. Cons: On the night we checked in, I specifically asked the front desk about breakfast times. They only told me 7:00-10:00 but failed to mention that since the hotel shares an entrance and elevators with the Ji Hotel, the restaurant floor can only be accessed with a Ji Hotel key card. Guests staying at Hanting Express are limited to dining at the single table in the lobby, which is less than 20 square meters. This feels like a deliberate concealment. We paid extra for double breakfast portions for both our rooms, but the food was incredibly sparse: only 1 boiled egg, 1 pre-packaged burger/chicken wrap (choose one), and 1 cup of soy milk per person. If you wanted more, you had to pay extra. The experience gap between different brands within the same hotel group is huge. Suggestions: 1. Absolutely do not pay extra for breakfast; it's very poor value for money. You're better off grabbing something from a street vendor. 2. I hope the hotel front desk will proactively explain the actual breakfast dining situation to guests who have purchased breakfast during check-in, to reduce negative reviews. Multiple reviews have already stated – had they known the breakfast was like this, they would never have paid extra for it.

The deluxe family room at Qinghai Baiyun Xianglin Hotel was absolutely amazing! As soon as we walked in, we were blown away by how spacious and bright it was. The kids' play area, specially designed for children, had a slide and a rocking horse, keeping our little one entertained non-stop. The room was exceptionally clean, and the thoughtful touches like children's toiletries and disposable toilet seat covers really stood out. Hot water came out quickly, and the mattress was super comfortable. The hotel's service was impeccable; from the warm welcome at check-in, we felt cared for throughout our stay. Drinks and towels were plentiful, and the hotel's location was very convenient, with plenty of dining and shopping options nearby. Our stay was perfect, and I highly recommend it to families with children!

This hotel was an amazing experience! The service was warm and attentive, the overall environment was spacious and grand, and the room itself was large, clean, and free of any strange odors. All the facilities and amenities were complete and convenient to use. The location is excellent, very close to Xining Station and nearby bus stops, making transportation incredibly convenient. It offers great value for money and I highly recommend it!

The Xining Building boasts an excellent location, with various commercial streets right outside. We even walked to Wangfujing and Xinqian Night Market in the evening. The hotel itself is quite large, a well-established four-star property, and the environment and hygiene are impeccable. Parking in the backyard is very convenient. Plus, the rice noodles at breakfast were delicious!
