The Ritz-Carlton, Xi'an Reviews

The Ritz-Carlton in Xi'an was quite different from others I've stayed at. The decor wasn't the luxurious wood I expected, but rather cheap laminate. The cleanliness was also questionable. The mirror light above the sink hadn't been dusted in ages, and the side cover of the automatic toilet was just leaning helplessly on the trash can. I thought it might have come loose, but it was still in the same state after room service the next day, which was puzzling. However, the underground parking garage here was excellent – bright, clean, and spacious. Breakfast was up to the usual Ritz-Carlton standard, and the tomato I had with the fruit on the second day was delicious! During breakfast, there was some sort of 'Jing-ye' or 'Jin-ye' (possibly a manager) 'disciplining' the staff; about four different sets of staff members were reprimanded, seriously disturbing other diners. This shows how poor their public relations and problem-solving skills are. Check-in efficiency was very low. When I asked if my Marriott Bonvoy nights from a Ctrip booking could be counted, I received a very blunt 'no' because it was a third-party booking, which was unpleasant. At check-out, they got my last name wrong. When I corrected them, the female front desk agent actually said, 'Right!' herself, which left me utterly speechless! Overall, the service staff's performance at this hotel doesn't live up to the Ritz-Carlton's brand reputation.

This year, Children's Day fell on a Friday, giving us a three-day weekend. I decided to take my child to Xi'an for a trip! After comparing a few options, I chose The Ritz-Carlton. The day before check-in, Sophie proactively contacted me to ask if I had any special requests. I mentioned we were celebrating Children's Day, and to my surprise, upon arrival, they presented us with such a generous gift package! It included desserts and a adorable little lion plushie – so cute! The hotel's service was also very responsive, the pool was clean, and the breakfast was excellent. I would definitely choose this hotel again for my next visit!

This was my first time visiting Xi'an, and I chose to stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Xi'an. My experience was absolutely fantastic, truly living up to its reputation as Xi'an's top luxury hotel! The Tang Dynasty-inspired New Chinese decor creates a wonderful atmosphere. The lobby is elegantly classic, with a distinct Chang'an character. The guest rooms are spacious and spotless, the bedding is incredibly comfortable, and the service is warm and attentive. The staff are all considerate and polite; every time I encountered an employee, they greeted me with a radiant smile, which really brightened my day! For breakfast, you can enjoy local Shaanxi specialties like 'You Po Mian' (oil-splashed noodles) and 'Rou Jia Mo' (Chinese hamburger), all authentically delicious. The Cantonese restaurant serves very authentic dishes, and the roasted pigeon, in particular, had a truly crispy skin. The bar on the 27th floor has a great ambiance, and even kids are welcome to dine there and enjoy a non-alcoholic drink. I must give a special shout-out to William from the bar and Bruce from the Chinese restaurant – their service was exceptional!

During my stay, I encountered an issue, and the duty manager, Lucy, immediately came to assist. She was incredibly warm, friendly, and approachable. Her professionalism and problem-solving skills were truly impressive – she handled everything with clarity and grace. She really embodies the service excellence one expects from a high-end hotel and made my trip to Xi'an even more enjoyable.

The breakfast was great, really satisfying. The stay was very comfortable, and the room was quite clean. The hotel is also conveniently located near a subway station, making it easy to get around. Overall, I'm very satisfied.

Every time I visit Xi'an, I stay at The Ritz-Carlton. This time, after coming down from the plateau, I wanted a change of scenery, so I booked an 80-sqm one-bedroom at the InterContinental Gaoxin... I just couldn't get used to it. The attention to detail was far inferior to The Ritz-Carlton, and the decor felt pieced together, lacking a cohesive design. I ended up just taking a taxi a kilometer back to stay here... No need for excessive praise, it's truly the best hotel in Xi'an, hands down.

Great hotel, classic ritz service, however the location could be improved, it wasn’t central

First time we stayed at Ritz and it was impressive. We had high expectations but this experience was far better than we could have imagined. If you book your stay I recommend you get the Lounge Club Access and Edison will help you make the most of your stay, recommend and get for you the best dishes, get you best cocktails, best sweets so you get to feel and experience what Ritz is about. The swimming pool and jacuzzies were amazing as well. We simply smiled and enjoyed everything throughout the stay.

The facilities are brand new and complete, the room is clean and odor-free, and the soundproofing is excellent. The service is thoughtful and meticulous, and the staff are kind and approachable. The check-in process was simple and quick, and the overall atmosphere is warm and comfortable. It was a great experience, book your room with Sophia!

My stay in the executive room was exceptional, with thoughtful service details that far exceeded my expectations. The executive lounge and Xian Kitchen staff provided meticulous and attentive service, carrying themselves with a refined elegance befitting an ancient capital. I also received a lovely little gift, which was a delightful surprise. The hotel's design is tastefully elegant, and the sleeping arrangements were thoughtfully comfortable. My entire stay was wonderfully pleasant – I absolutely loved it.

First time staying at a Ritz-Carlton and it was a fantastic experience! 👍 1. The hotel proactively confirmed my check-in time. I needed to arrive early to drop off my luggage before heading to the museum, and the hotel was able to arrange an early check-in for us. 2. We stayed for two nights, and the hotel's cleaning and housekeeping were very frequent. Overall, it was a great stay.

Environment: The location is pretty average; we specifically came here for the toys. Service: I booked the room specifically for the small lion, and at the front desk, I mentioned wanting the Terracotta Warriors version. However, they delivered the heart-shaped lion, saying they didn't have the other one. My husband had to communicate with the concierge again to finally get the Terracotta Warriors model. This whole convoluted experience really soured our impression. Throughout our stay, the only people we were satisfied with were the concierge who helped us communicate and the bellboy; everyone else was quite disappointing. It's not worth making a special trip to stay here.

Stayed at the Ritz-Carlton Xi'an during my trip, and as always, the quality and service were excellent. The prices in Xi'an were also very reasonable. The breakfast buffet was incredibly rich and diverse, offering both local specialties and a wide array of Western pastries and fresh fruit.

This time, my friend and I visited Xi'an. We've always booked Ritz-Carlton hotels in Hong Kong and Shanghai, and because we love the Ritz brand, we decided to book a Club Twin Room for two nights at The Ritz-Carlton, Xi'an this time. Our stay was truly fantastic! The hotel is clean, tidy, comfortable, and grand. The room was spacious and bright. The staff provided warm and attentive service, especially at the Club Lounge, where the variety of dishes was rich and diverse, and the environment was elegant and comfortable. Several staff members there had excellent service attitudes. The hotel breakfast was truly great, with many varieties and delicious flavors, especially the local Xi'an delicacies. Our Ritz trip to Xi'an was wonderful! Looking forward to coming back again!
