Hotels near Wonderland Gardens in Worfield

There were 8 of us. 5 adults and 3 children. We had a family room and 2 other rooms. It was only 10 minutes from the family party we were going to. The hotel had an event booked, with music. They did warn us in advance, and the music did go off at midnight as promised. Unfortunately the design of the hotel is that the family rooms are the closest to the function room. We went into the bar for food (nearly 3 hours in the car). The bar manager rearranged tables and furniture to accommodate us all together, nothing was too much trouble. Above and beyond. Totally understanding of hungry 1 and 5 year old, whilst not misbehaving, were loud. The gluten free option one of our party chose was not available, so they accommodated with another meal, and didn't charge the extra. Other staff were also great, offering to help on the corridor etc. Next time we visit family, this will be the first choice. The rooms were spacious, clean and had everything we needed. Only wish we had had the time to visit the spa.

We stayed on a spur of the moment decision having spent the previous night just outside Bridgnorth . The lovely lady at reception ( Donna ) was polite , funny , very helpful and informative . We asked for a double room , but were only able to book a family room , the additional cost was not worth worrying about and gave us more space in the room . Our room was clean with everything easy to see or find . When i enquired about eating out , I was guided into Shifnal , less than five minutes away by car and found exactly what we wanted ( Tapas bar ) . Even though the hotel was quite full , it was very peaceful & we could hear no traffic noise or any noise from the car park area . Everything was clean & tidy , staff a credit to the company and we will gladly book & stay again . A peaceful place to rest our weary bodies after a hard days enjoying ourselves Thank you Donna :)

Very clean relatively newly renovated rooms. The hotel is in a quiet green area which conveniently close to the city centre. The breakfast was very pleasent and good value. The staff are friendly and the room was very clean. Overall this was an excellent hotel.

Fairly unexciting hotel but quiet and clean and great breakfast. Nice pool and gym. Aimed more at conferences and group events than tourists as breakfast ends at 930

I had a buy a gift voucher that I decided to use booked for the Sunday night got there and we actually had the boardroom room 25 which was lovely not to everyone’s taste but we really liked it very comfortable. Lots of good facilities bed was really comfortable. The bath was incredible really big we did go in the pool and the sauna it was okay. It’s a little dated the weather was gorgeous so we sat outside on the benches and had a drink only about a 15 minute walk into Shifnal which was nice. We had a lovely Chinese in the evening and all in all a really good stay. Breakfast was nice not lots of choice but adequate. The staff are lovely so no complaints there. I can understand why people are saying that it needs a bit of TLC, but it is not a five star hotel but clean and comfortable.

We just needed a hotel for one night and I found Ely House Hotel on this site (and others). I called to make the booking directly and Claudia was so helpful and friendly on the phone. I was rather vague about our ETA but that didn't faze her. When we arrived everything was just perfect. Oxana welcomed us and showed us to our lovely room - spacious and with everything immaculate. Special mention for the bathroom (spotless) with a wonderful powerful shower and plenty of warm water. My OH had a full English breakfast and I had an adapted veggie cooked breakfast; we also had toast and marmalade with lots of hot coffee. I forgot to ask the name of the lady who served us breakfast but she too was very helpful and friendly and couldn't do enough for us. All in all this was a great short stay but I would have loved to have stayed longer (maybe next time). I would recommend Ely House to anyone visiting Wolverhampton or thereabouts - close to the centre and with free parking at the back. And it didn't cost an arm and a leg either!
