Hotel Mifujien

Facilities: Undoubtedly, for a hotel of this age, the facilities are generally a bit old, but the overall cleanliness is well-maintained. Hygiene: No need to worry about the hygiene conditions. Hot Springs: The hot springs are truly the biggest letdown of this hotel. I specifically checked the hot spring appraisal certificate, and the water naturally gushes out at 27.x degrees Celsius. As a re-heated hot spring, the temperature of the water during my dips over a three-day, two-night stay was unbelievably high every single time. After about three minutes in the bath, my entire body would turn red, and both the indoor and outdoor springs were equally scorching. It made it impossible to enjoy the pleasure of soaking. Service: Since I didn't opt for meals, I didn't really experience much of the service. However, the staff I encountered acted as if I were staying at a budget business hotel. The front desk was unstaffed at night, and when I arrived during the day and got out of the car, there was no one to guide or greet me. Summary: If you're booking this hotel solely for its view of Mount Fuji overlooking Lake Kawaguchiko, then it might be worth considering. However, if you're hoping to experience authentic Japanese service, you'll likely be disappointed.

The hotel has a great view and the food is quite good. However, the rooms are a bit old and the cleanliness is just average. The bathroom light also takes a few seconds to turn on after you flip the switch. But for the price and location, it's really good value.

The rooms were clean, and the dinner and breakfast included in our stay were delicious. We could see Mount Fuji from the restaurant, our room, and even while soaking in the hot spring. Plus, there's free parking right across from the hotel.

The accommodation is a bit old, located on a hillside so expect some walking. It has a hot spring and a good breakfast. It's peaceful and private.
