We were checked in for a two night stay and were given 3 rooms in total due to our horrific stay. The first room we were given was absolutely filthy! We requested a new room which we were given and only got worse from there. At 2:30 am we were woken up in discomfort and itchy, only to get up and investigate the bed and find multiple bed bugs across the bed and pillows. It was horrific!!!! The bites I have received were disgusting and what was even more upsetting and disappointment was the reaction of the staff. We were moved to another room at 3am and were told to complain to the day staff in the morning which we did. They only offered us a complimentary breakfast and 10% off our stay which was only £10.30. £10.30 after all we endured during our stay is laughable!!!! If only we could upload videos of the bed bugs we took, the pictures do not do it justice at all. NEVER EVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL. Especially if you value your peace, sanity and skin.

It is just a short walk from the seaside, roughly 15 mins walk from the station. Very close to the sea and the staffs are really helpful! Many choices of British breakfast around, all within 5-10 walking distance.

Very outdated and in need of total refurbishment. Sorry to say very unclean every aspect. Windows may as well have been open, old sash windows that let in cold and noise, central heating throughout hotel not working and a convector heater placed in room. Toilet inaccessible for the average human without approaching sideways. Shower tray filthy. Very dated hotel that’s needs a complete overhaul.. sorry for poor but honest review

We were as part of our wedding trip in Eastbourne, at Chatsworth Hotel. The location was directly at the sea/ pier. However, you were in a few minutes walk directly in the city center. The hotel itself has charm, the staff was always friendly and helpful. Very nice rooms. Specially the chair remains in mind. We would go back immediately, clear recommendation

Our first time at The View Hotel .. and we were not disappointed ! After arriving in the morning, Reception gave us a discounted parking ticket that allowed us to have parking directly outside the Hotel for just £2.00. After having a day out in Eastbourne Town, we returned to find that the sea view room that had been allocated to us ( Room 712 ) had excellent views of the sea and the Pier. We found the whole Hotel to be clean, tidy and modern - and the same applied to our room. We loved the location of the View Hotel, as we were within 10 min walking distance of the town and local bars and restaurants. Breakfast was excellent with a really good variety and we had a lovely view of the sea from our breakfast table. One of the best breakfasts that we have had in a Hotel in a long time. All staff were really helpful and accommodating and that was really appreciated. Full credit to Claire Prysor-Jones and the View Hotel Team for making out stay a really pleasurable experience and we will certainly be returning again and have no hesitation in recommending this Hotel to others.. Lovely hotel with an amazing view of the Eastbourne beach. You are even provided with a pair of binoculars to enjoy further! Stayed for one night to see family with our 3 month old and the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. We had a travel cot ready and waiting with all essentials in a beautifully presented room. We woke up to a lovely breakfast buffet offering cold and cooked options. Great location and can’t wait for a stay in the summer! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a break by the sea!
