Nice hostel great views

The most special open-style hostel I have ever stayed in, all bungalows. There is a large lawn in front of the door leading to Lake Wanaka. It is not far from the shopping mall. The rooms and bathrooms are very large. You can also have afternoon tea in the room. The management is meticulous and there are regulations on when to close the windows to avoid disturbing the neighbors.

It has not been renovated yet and there is no restaurant (the restaurant after renovation should be able to see the lake). The ground is full of gravel. It is recommended that people with overweight suitcases not consider this place. You need to carry your suitcase all the way in. The exterior of every room here looks like a COVID-19 isolation room, engineering project department, migrant worker room... The door is a curtain blocked by frosted glass. There is no mirror in the bathroom, so you need to go to the mirror next to the bed to blow your hair. When the light in the toilet was turned on, the ventilation was also turned on. The sound was deafening. After that, I didn't even want to turn on the light when I went to the toilet. In addition, the room details when booking showed that there was a TV and air conditioning, but it turned out that there was no TV and no air conditioning. I woke up directly to the cold in the morning. There is a temporary outdoor dining area set up at the door of my room. I can hear people talking outside, which greatly affects my rest. You can't open the curtains, otherwise you can see people sitting outside chatting and eating, without any privacy! This hostel is far different from the hakahouses in Tekapo and Mount Cook. I think the rooms shared by the other two hostels are better than this single room.

It happened that the hotel was undergoing a major renovation project, but it didn't interfere at all. It will definitely be a highly rated accommodation environment in the future, with a great kitchen, an excellent room type for 6 people, and a lot of space.

The location is good, and the room and kitchen are clean. The common room is large so you can relax. The living room looks beautiful at sunrise and sunset!

The location is good, very close to the Wanaka Tree. There is a shared kitchen restaurant. The family room has a separate bathroom and a separate restaurant, which is very convenient. The view of Wanaka is great. I like it here.
