If you are open to the experience this is perfect. Its on the rustic side but staying in the Yurts is so peaceful. Shower is good for a campsite, toilets are a bit finicky so be prepared lol, Location has gorgeous views. super there is a great meal, they dont do lunch but a couple great options very close by, nice location, friendly staff. Our second trip there and will be back for sure.

I am a local, live 40 minutes from this incredible property and have just seen it. I was quite taken with the great hiking, the expansive beach, incredible views and those blue/green waves crashing. Loved the yurts, some winterized to accommodate our winters. The Bistro offered wonderful seafood chowder, Seafood Pescatore and Chicken Piccata were delicious. The chickens as well as the owner Paul and staff are really friendly and accommodating. Musical entertaining is provided and plan to take in a Singers Songwriters Circle on September 14th. Highly recommend a day trip there, it is another world.

I am not someone that usually writes reviews, but I had to leave a review for this property. On the positive side, I will say that the staff were friendly and helpful. This property is in a beautiful location, and it has a lot of potential. However, the only words that I can use to describe the current conditions are run down and dirty! There does not seem to be any maintenance or upkeep done on the property, and there is definitely not much cleaning done. We stayed in a tree-top dome, so we had to use the public shower and washroom. The one that was closest to us was in a building that looked like it should be torn down. It was disgusting!! The dome itself did not have any ventilation or AC except for plastic windows with screens. I found multiple earwigs in the dome that came from holes in the screens of the windows. It was like a sauna in the day and cold at night. The mattress was very thin, and you could feel the springs in your back. The price that we paid for these run-down, dirty accommodations was crazy. We also had to pay an extra $50 for a hot tub that we refused to get in. DON’T STAY HERE!!

We were here eight years ago and had a good stay. But the place has gone seriously downhill since then. Seems like there has been no maintenance done since our last visit and the whole place has a fly-by-the-seat-of-your pants feel. Friendly by unprofessional. The “Common Room” was a shocker, huge pile of “stuff” on one side. Pool table in rough shape and no room for cuing on one side.

My partner and I had an AMAZING three night stay in the Big Red Yurt! The yurt was incredibly clean and cozy. We enjoyed a campfire two of the nights with the wood provided for the wood stove in the yurt (which we also used!). The food at the bistro was lovely and home-cooked, served by the friendliest staff. I felt so at home here that I didn't want to leave! The lodge is the perfect place to relax. In total we stayed in four different accommodations along the trail and Cabot Shores is by far the best. I am definitely returning in the future :D

A friend and I stayed for five nights and ate most of our meals here. What a wonderful experience!! We stayed the first night in a yurt. It had electricity and heat and was quite comfortable. The rest of time we each got a room in the lodge. Very comfortable rooms, really friendly staff, great food that comes right out of their garden and good beer on tap! The main lodge is a very cool place. The Bistro is there and there's a stage for music and some comfy couches and chairs. We hung out there a lot. And the grounds are really beautiful - there are woods and hiking trails and a campground - it's just a really cool place. So grateful to Dr. Paul and his family for such a pleasant stay!

We were able to stay in the Cedar yurt just outside of the lodge. Upon arrival we made fast friends with Katie, the receptionist there, and Paul the owner soon after. Immediately we felt welcomed and knew that we were in for a wonderful stay! The yurt itself had a wood burning stove to keep the space warm and Wi-Fi, although we spent much more of our time than expected unplugged! With a good selection of books and board games as well as plenty of activities and nearby trails to really connect with the beautiful Cabot Trail wilderness. We loved making our own cider from scratch, and the guided meditation was a great way to really unwind. There are a few places nearby to eat, but you need to make sure you get a few meals from the lodge itself! So many of the ingredients are grown fresh on site, and the extremely talented cooks work to make some truly spectacular dishes. When the sun would go down we would enjoy the fire and read, or relax underneath the crystal-clear night sky and get lost in the stars. This was a truly one-of-a-kind experience, and we are already talking with friends and family to plan our trip back!

I read reviews and almost canceled my stay. I am so happy we didn't. This place was wonderful! We stayed in a yurt, a little damp smelling but is expected in a yurt. A little wood stove fire dried it up nicely. The hot tub was fabulous, the meal was absolutely delicious. The hospitality was outstanding, the girl at the front desk was the most helpful, friendly person was met all week. We walked thr property, the beach is so quiet and beautiful.. I would stay again and again.

I am an avid camper and have stayed in many Yurts and similar venues. Although the Yurt itself was very nice, it doesn't have any form of ventilation or AC. Every other similar yurt has always had air conditioning. We arrived at 7pm and it was over 100 degrees in the Yurt, no AC and no windows. We tried to sleep in it was too hot. One teenager was puking due to the extreme heat. We were up with the sun the next morning and had to leave the yurt due to the heat. We could only return once the sun was down again. It advertised as ocean front, but we couldn't see the ocean. We had a small stream nearby but was mostly mud and only about 1 foot deep during high tide. Couldn't have a fire as the fire pit was right beside the yurt and would only heat it up more. The grass hadn't been cut in a long time and was knee deep so we were afraid to start a fire. The yurts are very close together with little privacy. They upcharge for EVERYTHING ..... extra fee for pets, extra fee to use their paddle boats, extra charge to use the hot tub (which we paid for and then only realized our private hot tub was on our neighbors yurt so we didn't use). Had to preorder meals and the breakfast only started being served at 9am. On the plus side ...... the outdoor bathroom and showers were kept very clean (indoor bathroom had pipes sticking out of the wall and was disgusting). And I think this place has lots of potential with some TLC. We were told there was a trail to get to the beach and we tried to find it on several occasions and asked the front desk but they didn't seem to know how to get to it either. We ended up leaving early and after we left, I spoke to owner who was very accommodating and apologetic and offered us a refund for leaving early. He explained that he wasn't on site due to an emergency and his staff was new and not fully trained. But I would stay anywhere but here again unless they make some major improvements.
