Palazzina Grassi

From the moment the excellent Chiara welcomed us from our taxi it was clear this hotel was going to be wonderful. The hotel was simply perfect and it was the attention to detail and the warmth of the staff that really enhanced the quality. For example while Chiara showed us our room for our approval we said we would need more coffee pods of a certain type. These were immediately sent to the room. Even though these ran out the day before we left, house keeping remembered to replace them. So the communications and systems must all be in perfect harmony. Very impressive. Rooms and public areas SPOTLESS even with the decadent Venetian decoration. Breakfast was A La Carte. This is an excellent touch and it works far better than the boring buffet style which must surely lose any hotel money. Breakfast staff were great. We ate dinner in the hotel one night and it was in a word sumptuous. If you are not staying at this hotel you can eat dinner there and every aspect was delicious. I will gladly write a separate 5 star review for the restaurant. It's not always easy to get great food in Venice, Palazzina Grassi executes this effortlessly. This brings me to the Hotel's brilliant secret weapons; restaurant manager Michaele, who is ably supported by Philippo and Frederico. The hotel is extremely lucky to have these guys. They make the experience beyond extra special. They have the rare ability to read their customers perfectly; building a wonderful rapport while still offering the very highest quality service, seemingly effortlessly, and at times hilariously. Seriously this must be the best service team in Venice. I am sure though, that even these ambassadors of fine Venetian service are the focal point of the customer experience, they are surely supported by all members of their team. Honestly there is not a single bad thing to say about this truly top class hotel. Finally Venice has a truly world class luxury hotel. See you next year J&L.

We have traveled frequently and have stayed at many beautiful, high end hotels throughout the world, but the Palazzina Grassi surpasses them all (and this includes the 5 star Gritti Palace in Venice). From the moment we arrived, until we left, everything was perfect. The staff is professional, efficient, knowledgeable and yet friendly. Whether at the front of house, bartenders, wait staff, cleaners (the place is immaculate), all were fantastic. We took a water taxi to Murano and because there was a boat race on the Grand Canal, the taxi was a far way off; one of the staff accompanied us the entire way to the taxi. Every question was answered with a smile and the entire staff went to great pains to ensure that our vacation was memorable. The room was beautiful! Beds and pillows were so comfortable, the linens and toiletries, sublime. The shower was amazing. The mini bar was incredibly well stocked with a huge variety of excellent nibbles and drinks (because we opted for a jr. suite, the mini bar was gratis). Breakfast is served until noon (unheard of) and the food was excellent. We also had a delicious dinner there our first night. The dining room is gorgeous, as is the entire hotel. We chose a room that had a terrace overlooking the rooftops of Venice which was something out of a picture book, quiet, birds singing— just lovely. We had a most amazing experience. Thank you to all at the Palazzina Grassi. We will most definitely return. I just hope we will be able to get in!

Fantastic hotel with top quality furnishings, design, view of the grand canal and location on the grand canal. The food was good, the staff friendly and the suite amazing. The only complaint is that the evening restaurant messed up our order. So while this is a 5 star hotel, I had to knock off a star for the mistake.

Loved our stay at this hotel. Can’t fault a thing. Decor, staff, service, location. Fantastic. We were upgraded to a junior suite which was unexpected but appreciated! The bed was so comfortable and the room was so well equipped. Fantastic extras including a GHD box (in every room I believe) with hairdryer, straighteners and hairspray for your use. Very nice! Good breakfast and lovely bar area as well.

Outstanding for my first visit to Venice I couldn't have chosen a better hotel, location, food, service and advice where to go. The staff made us feel so special we loved every minute.

A modern hotel with charm, designed by one of the world's best designers, maintaining its 5-star status, fashion, food, and design, but becoming a home after three days of stay. Its staff is wonderful, the food and service are top-notch. The best part? Its central location yet far from all the noise. Plus, who wouldn't want to arrive at the door by boat from the Grand Canal? My stay at Palazzina Grassi was absolutely incredible. From the moment I arrived to the moment I departed every team member I have interacted with made me feel incredibly welcome. A special mention goes to Michele, Giulio and Danilo. Definitely worth trying the restaurant and try the fish dishes. I adore fish and that was an incredible meal. I love the room. I feel it's efficiently laid out with beautiful decor. It's also quite spacious (relatively speaking) for a Venitian hotel room. Location is also quite central: it's a joy to go into the maze into various parts of Venice. We plan to return.

The filler steak and egg starter in the restaurant was one of the best we have EVER eaten. A totally different level. The service from Marcio and Julio was amazing. I never do this but 10/10. The rooms super sexy and everyone just couldn’t be more helpful. The concierge couldn’t be more efficient.
