With it being our second stay at Reflections Guest Farm we weren’t disappointed. Peaceful mornings overlooking the small dam from our spot. The room we stayed in was spacious, with everything you need for making meals (self catering). There are various cottages so whether you’re alone or with a family there is something for you. We got our supplies from the local spar in Tulbach, a short 5 min drive away. This time round we had a little snow on the mountain to the right of us (Witzenberg)compared to last year although we had stayed in August so there was a little more snow then. Such beauty all around and hubby lit the fire and we had a braai on our second night, while we watched the sun setting behind the hills in front of us as well as listening to the birds settle in the reeds on the dam, just so beautiful! We ate at the Tulbach Hotel on the first night as we had enjoyed sight seeing the whole day and didn’t feel like making anything to eat on our return. The food was delicious and the restaurant was cozy and staff were friendly. Tulbach is a great place to stay and the trip there is absolutely gorgeous, with mountains, waterfalls, and baboons, along the route. Tulbach is surrounded by mountains (Obiqua,Groot Winterhoek, and Witzenburg) so it is lovely just to drive and stop at different places and enjoy the different spots along the way. We ended up in Ceres last year chasing snow and everywhere we went it snowed, even if it was light, it was fun, and if you get the chance to travel to the Matroosberg then do it because it’s breathtakingly beautiful!
