Rooms at Babbacombe

On arrival we were met by Luke our host. We were about to do self check in, but he very kindly did it for us and then showed us to our room. Explaining that we were more than welcome to use the downstairs lounge to sit and relax, also if we wanted a takeaway there were plates and cutlery supplied, there was also complimentary tea and coffee. On the landing by our room there was a fridge with extra milk, tea/coffee and biscuits if we needed it (there was tea & coffee supplied in our room). Extra towels, shower gel etc. was also available if needed, I thought this was a great idea. The room was lovely, exceptionally clean and beautifully decorated. The bed was really comfortable, we both had a great nights sleep!! Luke and Bec’s are great hosts, they responded really quickly to any questions we had. A video was forwarded to us regarding how to do self check in…..brilliant idea. They are very friendly, but also professional. I would definitely stay at ‘Rooms At Babbacombe’ again, and would not hesitate to recommend. Thank you for a great stay.

Second time we have stayed here lately. Luke and Bez are just lovely and welcoming and nothing too much trouble. If they are not there it is self check in and they send you videos of how to do this and a tour of the hotel and where your room is. The lounge area is beautiful and the smell of freshness hits you when you walk through the door. It is immaculate. Lovely little extras like biscuits, extra milk, iced water and a hamper of toiletries etc on the landing if you forget anything. Luke and Bex met us and carried our bag to our room and were there when we left. Bed and room comfy and spotless, the lounge area can be used if you want to use your own food and drinks. Parking outside by reservation. Just a short walk from the front and pubs and the bus stops. Will definitely be back . Far superior to other places we have stayed in Babbacombe.

Luke and Bex were fantastic hosts from the booking process through to our departure. We booked 2 rooms for 5 nights at very short notice. We were made to feel so welcome. Beds were amazingly comfortable, rooms spotlessly clean, we even got to spend lots of time with all our family in a beautiful lounge, literally all to ourselves. Everything was provided for us in the lounge wine glasses, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, all for no extra cost. If not already? This lovely couple should be super hosts, we can’t thank them enough. We had booked online this Accommodation at short notice to visit friends in the area. Rooms at Babbacombe is a very pleasant shock to the system.First the property is very nicely & tastefully decorated & totally in tune with the really cool building. Second it is spotlessly clean & fresh with quality textiles & fittings. Third & most importantly Luke & Beca are truly great hosts & were extremely welcoming, informative, & fully engaged in the business. It was a delight to stay there & will be our go to place when in Torbay.

My friends and I stayed at this great accommodation recently. From the moment we were greeted to the time we left, we received excellent service. We all enjoyed a great nights sleep, the rooms were very clean with lovely touches, such as fresh milk in the rooms, biscuits and a decent size mug! We had to travel light (as we were walking), so we were happy to see that the owners have put together an essential box with toiletries, phone chargers etc, found on the landing for all to share. The breakfast was first rate, an impressive choice, from full English, to smoked haddock with poached eggs, and delicious mushrooms through to smashed avocado, overnight oats, fresh fruit & more! You have to pre book but very worth it. The owner also very kindly offered to top up our walking water bottles with ice as we were leaving. It’s the little things that make hospitality and this place has this. A great gem of a find.

Spend a lovely 4 nights at this gem of a place. Our first visit but will defiantly not be our last. Couldn’t wish for better hosts with Luke and Becca felt like staying with family. They made us so welcome. Rooms and lounge area were all spotlessly clean. Was only going to have breakfast on our first morning but was so delicious had it every morning we were their. What a lovely place ! Easy to locate (on main road with some parking) but just a minutes walk to see the sea/cliff railway (in fact we had a sea view from our room). The b and b is perfectly placed for all local attractions. It’s incredibly well presented; a stylish nautical theme and probably the cleanest place I have ever seen ! There’s a lovely lounge with glasses (wine, Prosecco etc) left out for you to ‘bring your own’ and plates and cutlery in case you would like a takeaway. I thought that was a lovely gesture. We declined the latter but got some Prosecco from the Tesco express across the road and had it in the lovely lounge - perfect ! There are a couple of fish and chip takeaways close by so would consider that next time. They also provide hot drinks, fresh milk etc in the lounge and in your room, with lots of lovely touches such as jars of biscuits and a hamper in the corridor in case you have forgotten anything/ need a top up. The owners truly care and out the guest experience. I understand Luke was very helpful to my friend prior to our stay and the parents were very helpful and informative on check in. Thank you !

We stayed at the Rooms, Babbacombe for 2 nights whilst visiting the local area. From start to finish the experience was nothing but positive. Our hosts Luke and Rebecca were lovely and engaging and made us feel welcome and valued. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and little details were accounted for, such as a “forgotten box” for spare items that you may have run out of or forgot to pack. There was a little fridge next to it with spare milk for your room and guest have the use of the large, classily decorated lounge area and are welcome to eat a takeaway there and have a drink. All cutlery and plates etc are provided and then taken care of by the hosts. Our room was lovely, and the bed was super comfortable with quality linen provided. Luke and Rebecca also have some wonderful recommendations for restaurants locally. The only slight point I would raise is the pressure of the shower was a little low, that does not however detract from our stay and the hosts, location and accommodation are well worthy of 5*!
