R&B Hotel Kamata Higashiguchi Tokyo

Haneda Airport/Kamata Tokyo|2.07km from Furukawa Clinic
Fantastic location in Kamata. Just a brief <5 mins walk from Kamata station, its a straightforward route so even if you're a tourist you won't get lost. There is a book-off nearby with multiple convenience stores (7-eleven, Lawsons, Family mart), and plenty of restaurants around the hotel nearby that open late till the night. For a 2-star hotel, I wasn't expecting much, but the hotel looked very new and very clean, even in the bathroom (photo attached). Walls were impeccable. They cleaned the room and replaced the sheets everyday, even replacing the bedroom slippers daily. Facilities were great, the room was small but has everything you need. You have a kettle, coffee and tea, a small fridge, bathroom with a small bathtub, bidet, a small tv (tho Jap programs only), a desk with a stool etc. The hotel even has a vending machine and a small laundromat on the 2nd floor you can wash and dry your clothes (200 yen per use for washing/using the dryer). Toothpaste and toothbrush, hairbrush, shaver are all provided. Only downside is you don't have cupboard space (just 3 hangers), but no problem if you are willing to make do and leave your stuff in your luggage bag). Breakfast is simple and complete. You get typically butter rolls, croissants, 2 other types of buns, hard-boiled eggs, curry with rice, cereal with milk (granola), salad, a few types of soups from the machine, and a few types of juices from the machine as well. And of course coffee and tea. Worth it if you just want a simple breakfast. Breakfast hours are a bit limited tho between 6.30am to 9.30am only. Only downside about staying in this hotel was in relation to communication. Although its a hotel, the staff don't speak English at all, so we had to use Google translate to communicate for things like checking-in and checking-out, and they seemed unwilling to help when we needed to book an early morning cab to the airport. Other than that, this hotel is great value for money and I would certainly stay in there again.

The best hotel! I have used various hotels from high-class to business, but my impression is that it feels like a ”home like a family waiting for you”. For all staff! I don't think it's easy to do, and my head is down. The objects displayed at the entrance to the elevator are also very eye-catching. There are various types of rooms and it is fun. In the slightly raised room, you can't help but relax. Since there are rooms that I have not used yet, I would like to ask you to come again.

Haneda Airport/Kamata
We used it in Haneda's Mae night. It is not a card key but an old-fashioned key method. Because it is a method of inserting the key and attaching the electricity, I thought that it would not be possible to stop the electric TV channel in the room one by one. I thought the bathroom was a bit moldy, but I didn't care if I turned the ventilation fan. Because the building is old, I think it is not possible to put such facilities together. I think the amenities at the front desk are more varied than the same business hotels. You can evaluate that point. It seems that it is not written on the site, but there was a free microwave oven in front of the elevator and one in the vending machine space next to the coin laundry. If you choose a reservation site, you can stay at 5000 yen without breakfast. Locationally, is it about 2 minutes walk from JR Kamata Station? The surroundings are a bit messy, but the location is outstanding. Since there is a bus from JR Kamata station to Haneda, I thought that access was good even if I didn't walk to Keikyu Kamata station.

The apar**ent is 10 mins walk away from the JR station, and inside a quiet street, next to the railway trail. It's quite noisy, and you will hear the sound from the train all day round, every few minutes. Not ideal for people sensitive to noise. The room itself is ok, nicely decorated, size is small as usual. Overall an average stay.

Basic and no-frills, but well-designed small rooms. Bed is a good size, small desk, surprisingly good water pressure in an interestingly simplified plumbing design. Full-featured toilet as appropriate for Japan. Very nice staff who went out of their way to be helpful & were apologetic for not knowing more English when it was actually me not speaking their language. Japanese style breakfast included. Not as close to Haneda as you might think from the map but an easy taxi ride. Several convenience store & fast-food spots within a block, and comfortable walk to the nearest train station. There's a vending machine next to the elevators if you don't want to step out for a snack. Very good value for the price. Only complaint that makes me dock a star: the bed is very hard, like sleeping on plywood under the sheets.
