We stayed here for 4 nights. Before commenting on the hotel, we wanted to share some of our own experiences with those who travelled to this hotel on their own. We arrived at the airport at about 5pm and went to the Flying Dog Bus counter as suggested by the Forum members. Based on the information we found, the bus was supposed to take us to the hotel or close enough to the hotel. But instead, we were told they would not take us to the hotel door until after six o'clock. Before 6 o'clock, they will only put guests on the designated bus route and then take a taxi to the location they are going to. In short, if you arrive at the airport before 5:30, then it is recommended to take the Guoguang bus. After the next time at the terminal (Taipei Central Station), take the MRT to Ximending. Pros: -The location is good. It takes only a few minutes to walk to the nearest MRT Ximending Station. -All rooms have free Internet access. Try using the wireless connection. If you don't have a network cable yourself, you can borrow one from the front desk. - Basic supplies: hairdryer, kettle, free bottled water and tea - very clean Cons - hotel entrance hidden in a narrow alley and easy to miss. Just look for the World Express pastry shop on the main road. There are huge neon lights on the top side of the hotel, which is useful when looking for it from a distance. - Shower and bathtub are integrated. As a business hotel, we expect them to install a shower curtain, but maybe they think it will cost too much. So you can imagine the mess after each shower. -No useful maps available. Those maps that could be used only marked the subway line, and there was no address information or anything like that. - the lighting in the room was poor. It was too dark for ladies who wanted to make up. -Close to a government building, so if you want to walk around naked in the room, it is recommended to close the curtains. -The front desk clerk doesn't seem to know much about the attractions. -Breakfast coupons are issued at the front desk every morning, dining at the fast food restaurant on the main road, just at the exit of the narrow alley. There are about four or five packages to choose from, but the two must be the same (for both of us)! That is so stupid! The food is not good either.

I chose the hotel due to its location. It is across the road from the museum, has a convenience store close by, plenty of food places, and a Metro station is just 200m away with the main railway station just 400m away. My room had wifi/internet and a bar fridge. I stayed here twice and was mostly satisfied. Better rooms are on the front of the building. The back rooms have no view and sound carries between them via a light well. English speaking by staff is mixed. They do have a left luggage facility if you arrive early or are departing late. Not all staff understand such requests.

Location- Near to Taipei main station, about 5-8mins. Note that Hotel Relax 5 is round the corner so don’t go to the wrong hotel Food- we did not order breakfast. We saw it is bento set. There is McDonald,7-11 and family mart. Also nice beef noodles. A-cai oil fried bao is located few doors down. A few vegetarian stalls around the hotel. Free coffee provided at lobby. U can top up water at the lobby. Service - friendly staff and polite. Room is clean but small. Staff provides a recyclable bag for us to use. Also note that lobby is small so the luggage deposit is in main lobby and not in a room (public area)

This is the second day of the renewal. Expected to check out at 6 am At 5:30 in the morning, the hot water slowly gets cold after taking a bath and washing halfway. Then it becomes cold water and then the water is less and less and even stops Turn off the switch and turn it on again The water volume is still very small, only cold water Finally, the cold water is washed. In the winter morning, is really swearing while taking a shower Then there is no indoor phone in the room to contact the counter Line message is not read Line phone is not It's really a fire. When checking out at the counter Seeing the counter staff with a sleepy face, he knew he was just dozing off I told you about the unpleasant experience of just taking a shower. He only had a faint response ~ I called someone to fix it. The driver of the pick-up also said that the counter staff was in a state of sleep when he arrived at . woke him up so he didn't even borrow the toilet Quite new hotels have equipment missing Emergency services will not be available. Really bad I won't come next time
