Hotels near St. Esprit Cathedral in Sisli

My friend and I were staying at Mount Ararat Hotel for three nights. We were welcomed by friendly and helpful staff. Even though we barely stayed in our room, the room had everything what we needed after a long day outdoors. The beds were very comfortable, the place was clean and so was the bathroom. There were a lot of restaurants nearby and during the evening the neighbourhood became very lively with locals and tourists. We were happy that after a tiring day we could grab some food and drinks with our hotel in the close proximity. On our last evening Saleh helped us arranging the transport to the airport which was top-notch! On the other hand, we had an arrangement with breakfast included and it was slightly disappointing. It was buffet with various choices of food and drinks but my friend and I are a little bit fussy. We preferred to grab something on our way to the city centre. It is not a deal breaker though. All in all, good value for money. We were satisfied about our choice and would definitely come back.

It's a nice looking hotel, very clean with comfortable beds. There is daily cleaning free of charge. They have a fan and heating but not air conditioner but it was good for me because I stayed here during autumn time. No kettle inside the room but you can request hot water at the reception or use the kettle in the kitchen area at -1 floor. They have a laundry room, have to pay 20TL at the reception counter, they will give you detergent as well. The only issue with me was the thin walls, i could hear the neighbors snore loudly 😅 In terms of location, there are nice restaurants and cafes nearby. There is a small-medium sized mall nearby which is good. Bus stop is 3 minutes walking distance, but no metro station that is walking distance. Also no tourist attraction nearby annd it's quite far from taksim, but it was convenient for me to go places woth public transport. For the price it's worth it.

I have booked at Pera orient hotel because it offers what I want from an hotel during my travels and the feedbacks were in its favor. Just after my booking was done I stumble on a negative review that was posted on trip advisor. I was worried about my choice. But when I went to Istanbul and stayed there, I felt compelled to share my own experience, which was entirely different and absolutely fantastic! I believe it's essential to give credit where credit is due. First of all , if you are seeking a resort , Pera Orient is not a resort and it never claims to be one! My stay at Pera Orient was comfortable and pleasant. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by the friendly and attentive staff, who made their best to help me in every possible way and to answer my queries during my 5-day long stay. Their warm smiles and genuine willingness to assist truly set the tone for my stay. The location of the hotel is ideal. A 6 min walk from the hotel takes you to Taksim square where you can take the Metro or bus to reach your desired destination. And it allowed me to make regular daily walks on istikal street . The street is a little narrow yes, but there are plenty of hotels all around that I have never felt scared or unsafe ( as it was mentioned in the negative review). And I always took the upward direction then turn right towards taksim. I was greeted by a spotless clean room with a tasteful decor. The bed was incredibly comfortable, The housekeeping staff was attentive and meticulous, making sure that my room was impeccably cleaned each day. Coffee and tea were left daily next to the kettle (sometimes with a bottle of water). When I will visit Istanbul again , I will definitely chose Pera Orient to stay in.

New hotel ideally located close to tourist sites: - Hagia Sophia Mosque and Blue Mosque (less than 5 minutes on foot) - Grand Bazaar 10 minutes on foot. - The T1 Sultanahmet tram stop which leads to other main tourist lines is very close to the hotel. The room is modern, very well equipped and impeccably clean, change of sheets, towels, cleaning... done every day and the bedding is very comfortable (the hotel is located in one of the few quiet streets in the city which is very pleasant to rest and sleep well at night). The breakfast is excellent and varied with fresh, quality products served in a very warm and friendly place. Great way to start the day off right! The hotel employees were fantastic, very kind and took great care of us throughout the stay. They were very available at all levels and responded to your requests with the greatest attention (they even organized the taxi reservation for us to return to the airport)🥰 I will come back without hesitation!

A new hotel with a luxurious grace and elegance with facilities that embrace sight seeing and location. The staff are the best I have experienced in 30 years of 4 and 5 star travel all around the world, including Dubai, Oman, UK, Paris and Sydney. They are focussed on providing a seamless, caring and insightful experience of Istanbul. The breakfasts were healthy, vast and extremely tasty. The rooms are spotless and quiet for a city centre, with an internet connection on the TV where you can access youtube for some tranquility. East meets west in Istanbul and the whole holistic experience gave us a holiday of a lifetime. We will be back soon to Carima Gold to shop, sight see, take in Turkeys magnificent history and eat the amazing food. Thank you so much from myself and all my family.

What an absolute gorgeous hotel. You would never think that you were staying in the heart of Istanbul whilst staying at the Garden House Hotel. This hotel is ideally located close to the the blue mosque, grand bazaar (which is a unique experience to visit)and many more places of interest. The room that we stayed had a small balcony overlooking the pretty courtyard, the room was decorated in a traditional Turkish style and was spacious, very clean and the bed was super comfy. We had breakfast included with our stay which was lovely, with plenty to chose from. The staff at the hotel were really lovely, and helped us out when we had problems with getting our boarding passes, nothing was too much trouble for them. We decided that we wanted to go on a boat trip during our stay, the hotel offered us information on this and we booked half a day trip which was €50 each, I would highly recommend this trip as it’s a great way to see more of Istanbul, and really interesting. Overall I can’t recommend this hotel enough.

I made a reservation for Stay Inn Taksim Hostel via Agoda.com website for 3-6 February.Due to special reasons, I could not enter the hostel on February 3, and in this case, I contacted the hostel officer and informed him that he would check in on February 4.Despite this, my reservation was canceled by the hostel just because I did not log in and the hostel officer said that if I make a new reservation with a higher price, I will only be able to stay at the hostel that way. What kind of customer satisfaction is it that I can't use a service that I have paid for in advance and that a higher fee is demanded again? So I had to stay in another hotel.If you don’t want to happen this to you never choose Stay Inn Taksim Hostel and should definitely stay away! Agoda.com internet sitesi üzerinden Stay Inn Taksim Hostel adlı hostele 3-6 Şubat tarihleri için kredi kartı ile peşin ödeyerek rezervasyon yaptım. Fakat buna rağmen 4 Şubatta hostele gittiğimde otele giriş yapmadığım için hostel tarafından rezervasyonumun iptal edildiğini, konaklama ücretinin iade edemeyeceklerini ve yeniden daha yüksek ücretle rezervasyon yapılırsa ancak o şekilde konaklayabileceğim söylendi. Ücretini peşin olarak ödediğim bir hizmetten ertesi gün geleceğimi bildirdiğim halde faydalanamayıp bir de üstüne tekrar daha yüksek ücret talep edilmesi nasıl bir müşteri memnuniyetidir? Şehir dışından geldiğim için de başka otelde konaklamak durumunda kaldım. Bir an önce konaklamadığım halde onayım alınmadan hostel tarafından tek taraflı olarak iptal edilen rezervasyon ücretinin iade edilmesini ve oluşan mağduriyetin giderilmesini istiyorum. Bir daha asla Stay Inn Taksim Hostel'i tercih etmem ve kesinlikle uzak durulmalı!

HI - I have marked this as average for a couple of reasons - the first is that when you book this hotel online they do not tell you that there are 2 wings in the hotel facing each other - the first is one is the main only with suite rooms and the other one is called the ”deluxe” wing. Also they don't tell on the website what is different between the 2 wings - we booked the hotel through Makemytrip.com website where it was mentioned that the room size was 325 sq ft and advertised as a 5 star hotel. Believing the details we booked the hotel for 7 nights - now when we check in we find the following problems : 1. The room is barely 200 sq ft in size and very small 2. The floors are stained 3. The furniture is all scratched 4. There is supposedly a balcony which is dirty and walls are stained 5. The lobby of the so called 5 star hotel was like a 2 star small lobby. So we call the Guest Relationship executive and make the complaints that this is not a 5 start hotel room - it is not even a 2 star hotel room and the area is much smaller than advertised. He agrees with us but says he is helpless - so we ask to see the manager - the manager has perfected the art of making excuses - he tells us that the room is used daily so the furniture is damaged and the area of the room is as per the original plan which was passed although the actual size is small. We made a huge fuss and asked to be relocated to the other wing - so they showed us a suite room which was nice and we asked them to move us there - they said that this would cost us 90 euros per night extra - we negotiated and settled at euro 50 per night and paid euros 350 extra for the 7 nights. This wing is fine and service is also good. I am attaching the pictures of the room in the deluxe wing - please see for your self whether this can be called as a room of a 5 tsar hotel. The hotel really needs to be pulled up for false advertising and also MakeMyTrip should be pulled up for not verifying claims of the hotels they advertise on their website.

Very good Hotel, very good Service, very good roof top Restaurant/ Bar.... but the Spa ist perfect with excellent service. The Spa offers Hammam and a large menue from massages. The Pool is large and the Spa Service is like in top Premium Hotels.

I stayed here in February 2020 for 4 nights together with a friend. The staff is very friendly and the hotel is very clean. The hotel is only a 10 minute walk away from the nearest sightseeing places located in the historic part of the city. Even nearer to the hotel there are groceryshops, bars, parks and restaurants. Keeping in mind the little money you pay for your stay, you can't really complain. Eventhough, I'd like to see some changes. Since the bathroom is really small, the whole bathroom actually is the shower. Everything gets wet, so there's not really a good place to leave your towel and cloths which you obviously want to keep dry. Maybe a few hooks or hanging baskets will be a good addition. There was 1 hook though, but it was very small and broken. (see picture of toilet, there a small cabinet next so the width is about 1,20 M en the same goes for the depth. The shower is on the right wall, infront of the cabinet) It also takes a very long time for the bathroom to dry. The water isn't stopped bij a small shower edge or something and theres nothing to wipe the water with, which left us with only one option: Shower in the evenings and leave the window in the bathroom open so it will be dry by the time it's morning. Not idealic at all, considering we where staying here during the winter. Also we had to share a socket during the night to charge our phones. It would be great if there were more of them. These are all small 'complaints' so it's not too bad. Especially for the money you pay. There's one thing left I'd like to warn you for: the sounds. The hotel is very noisy. You can hear other people very well and unfortunatly we had some people staying in the hotel that didn't take this into account. Because of the noisyness, you'll also be able to hear the mosques very loudly in the early mornings, so if you don't want to, bring some earplugs. Despite of the few negatives, I myself would stay here again and so would recommend this hotel if you are looking for a cheap hotel near the old city centre.
