Grand Hyatt Singapore

For a room costing over 2000, the view room was quite disappointing. I could have overlooked that, but what I absolutely couldn't stand was the strong mixed smell of dampness and stale cigarette smoke that hit me as soon as I opened the door. Since it was already past midnight when I arrived and the room was quite far, I didn't bother changing rooms. The result? All my clothes reeked of that smell after I checked out, making my suitcase smell too. I'm not even sure if the smell will come out in the wash. On a positive note, the two Chinese cleaning ladies were very good; they worked quickly and thoroughly.

The hotel's location is extremely convenient, with plenty of shopping and dining options nearby. The fitness facilities are excellent, and the breakfast offers a wide variety of delicious choices.

Convenient location, highly recommended. The rooms are spacious, perfect for families, and the breakfast is abundant and delicious. They even gave my kids two free breakfasts, which was a lovely gesture.

This hotel is truly fantastic! It's located in the heart of Orchard Road, yet offers a peaceful resort-like atmosphere. With two pools, a gym, and a garden, both my child and I had a wonderful time. Plus, it's right next to the MRT station, making it incredibly convenient.

The room was spotless, and the layout was super convenient. Right outside the hotel is ION Orchard, making shopping a breeze. Plus, there's a subway station just a left turn away, so getting around by public transport or taxi is incredibly easy.

The room was quite spacious; for Singapore, having a 2-meter king bed plus a large sofa by the balcony's floor-to-ceiling window that could also be used as a bed was great. The only downside was the drinking water provided came in glass bottles, which were inconvenient to open and unsafe if dropped on the floor, especially for families with children. Also, the check-in wait time was too long.

The renovated Grand Hyatt is grand and clean. We stayed for two nights, and everything went smoothly. Check-in was a bit slow, but it was efficient. We asked the hotel for extra water, and they immediately provided 10 bottles. Requests to housekeeping were also handled very quickly! The bay window sofa design is excellent; you can even get extra blankets to use it as a bed. My family and I both found the breakfast buffet delicious. I think it's the best curry, laksa, and teh tarik I've had in Singapore, especially after trying several popular '网红' (influencer-recommended) restaurants that weren't as good as the Hyatt's. The deposit refund might be a bit slow, taking 14-21 days to process, which is a downside compared to other Hyatt properties like Andaz, where the refund is processed on the same day. When we were leaving, I had two suitcases by myself, and a South Asian staff member in the lobby proactively offered to help. Overall, everything went smoothly, and I want to thank all the hotel staff for giving me a pleasant vacation.
