The location was fantastic, and dinner while watching the starry sky was amazing. The owner and staff were very kind and even showed us the location of the Southern Cross with a penlight. Also, playing in the pool while looking out over the wilderness was a rare experience. I highly recommend it.

What a fabulous piece of heaven to stay! The quiet, the stars, the birding was breathtaking. What really grabbed me is the relentless passion to save critically endangered Lithops.

A very happy stay at a special location. Friendly hosts to attend to your every need. A place to relax and enjoy the history and unique Camelthorn forests or explore the area. A perfect stopover en route to Luderitz, the west Coast (Via Alexander Bay) or other sites in the area.

What a gem!! Beautiful nature, exquisite meals from Hilde`s kitchen, world class Lithop collection with very interesting information provided! Peaceful and relaxing atmosphere with nature one your doorstep!

After a long drive from Sossusvlei we arrived at Altekakhofen and immediatly felt welcome ! Very impressed with the overall feel , the food , the beeskloutjies and all the activities offered !
