This is my first time writing a bad review. The service is really bad. There is no wifi and no signal. I told the front desk many times but they always said they would repair it but they didn't. It delayed my important work.

Here's the updated review including your comments about the food: --- **Unbelievable Experience at Sigiriya Kings Resort** I don't have words to describe the unbelievable experience we had for the past two days at Sigiriya Kings Resort. At check-in, we discovered the owners were fellow Canadians, which immediately made us feel at home. Our room had a plunge pool and was just spectacular. We were originally supposed to stay one night, but within five minutes, I knew I needed to add a second night. The service was friendly from all the staff, and the hosts were incredibly welcoming and accommodating. I really enjoyed chatting with them. The views were simply breathtaking, and the resort was close to everything we needed to do. How can I forget the food? The chef had some serious talent, and the service staff always had a smile. The presentation of the food was mind-blowing, making each meal a delightful experience. An extra special highlight was learning that an elephant visited the property last night, though I was fast asleep and missed it. Overall, Sigiriya Kings Resort provided an extraordinary stay, and I highly recommend it.

This place is a dream, the staff here are so friendly and accommodating. The scenery here is so beautiful and has amazing views of both Sigiriya rock and Pindurangala rock. The beautiful team also upgraded and decorated our room, with cake and champagne to celebrate my 40th birthday! Cannot wait to come back!

The best place to stay in sigiriya. Beautiful place. Great people and service. It has amazing views from the rooms. The restaurant offers good variety and quality of food. The staff is very friendly and always willing to help. I would recommend this place hands down.

Our time here was fantastic - all of the staff were wonderful (even before we arrived, they were extremely helpful in answering all of our questions.) We stayed in the deluxe room with a plunge pool which was decorated for our honeymoon. The staff were so welcoming and flexible with regards to our itinerary (we went on a boat ride and a safari) and our dining - nothing was too much trouble and the Sri Lankan food in particular was delicious. We think this place is a hidden gem and we would recommend it for the fab views and relaxed atmosphere - the Diamond Honeymoon package in particular was very generous with its inclusions.

Wow! What a fantastic place owner by a lovely Siri Lankan couple with a super well trained and friendly staff that always go above and beyond, rooms open up to a garden with the Lion Rock right in front of you. They also organised our pick up at the airport with a private driver Pudubu and then again to Kandy, all worked smoothly. Another big highlight is the food, the restaurant is possibly the best in the entire region, the curry and rice is an absolute must have! The waiters in the restaurant were also amazing and really looked after us! We had a 1 year old baby, and shes never been so spoiled in her life, what a team! Do yourself a favour and stay here! The hotel has a fabulous setting with unobstructed views of both Sigiriya and Pidurangala rocks. The rooms are large and comfortable and the restaurant served excellent food. The owner, Kalika, is great. He arranged at very short notice an early morning boat trip for my wife's birthday, and as we watched the sunrise over Sigiriya he produced a cake with candles. It was a lovely surprise for my wife and was literally the icing on the cake of a memorable stay. The hotel is a wonderful place for anyone interested in birds - just in front is a wetland area teeming with them. If you are planning a trip to Sigiriya, I would highly recommend you stay here

This is a little gem away from the crowds, yet minutes to Sigiriya and Pidurangala. Excellent rooms, service and restaurant. Owner is extremely knowledgeable of the area, the country and endemic birds. Great place to relax while you’re traveling, see wildlife and enjoy food from a Michelin star level chef.
