Heart of the Village Bed & Breakfast in Shelburne VT

Initially, I was unsure about booking this B&B as the reviews were kind of mixed. I 1. The innkeepers were very good at communicating. I received detailed directions to the inn, where/how to park, how to get I to the building, etc. Some reviewers did not like this. It was a bit much at times; however, I would rather be over communicated with than have no idea what to expect upon arrival. 2. Common areas may be under video surveillance. This did not bother me as it's no different than a hotel. Nothing was in our room. 3. There was a code to get into the building. This was the first B&B that I stayed at that had this. I actually liked this and it made me safer. 4. The innkeepers have rules. This is clearly explained when booking. It's for the safety of the innkeepers, guests and to keep the place clean. No shoes in the room - no problem with me. Shoes past the front door are disgusting in my opinion. 5. The innkeepers were very friendly. They are not native Vermonters, but that doesn't matter. They have a nice place and are very hospitable. 6. Breakfast was amazingly good! 7. The inn is in a good place - safe area, and walking distance to many things. 8. I will 100% stay here again when I visit town again! 9. Also, the room was spacious and clean.

Anatoly and Rose are great people. We spent two nights at their B&B whenever we visited Burlington in July. Their home is one of the nicest B&B’s we’ve had the pleasure of staying at. Breakfast was delicious both days. 10/10 recommend! Book now - you won’t be sorry you stayed here.

From the moment Rose greeted us in the driveway upon our arrival, we truly felt at home. All of the little touches and attention to detail were exemplary (not to mention the comfort and quiet of the room), but Rose and Anatoly (a master chef!) are ever present and their cheerful presence helped to make this stay one of our favorites. We can't recommend Heart of the Village more strongly and look forward to future visits.

We loved our recent visit to 'Heart of the Village' because it is clean, cozy and feels like home. One of the reasons for the cleanliness is the 'no shoes policy'. Shoe racks are conveniently located in the entry vestibule making it easy to comply. The plush carpet is noticeably cleaner and doesn't smell like most hotel rooms. Another plus is the made to order breakfast. Imagine having a variety of sautéed veggies (spinach, mushrooms, broccoli with your eggs! So much better than the typical 'dessert for breakfast'. There is a wide range of offerings to suit everyone's tastes however. Highly recommend - lovely hosts as well!!

My wife & I thoroughly appreciated the attention and care provided by hosts Anatoly and Rose. Our room was spotless and suited our needs well. Our breakfasts set a high standard for all future travel! The location of the Inn provides access to lovely restaurants and the Shelburne Museum across the road.

This is hands down my favorite Bed & Breakfast! The Inn is clean, comfortable and secure. The hosts are warm and friendly but not overly attentive - I find that to be very important at a Bed & Breakfast as you ultimately feel like you are staying in someones home! They provide the perfect amount of attention. Breakfast was stellar and the coffee was fantastic!! Location could not be better- situated perfectly with some really awesome amenities just outside the door or an incredibly short walking/driving distance away. This will absolutely be my go to spot when in the Burlington area from now on. Do not hesitate- this place is a GEM.

Lovely accommodations and gracious hosts. Very convenient to the museum, Shelburne Farms and excellent restaurants. Would definitely stay again if traveling that way. Many thanks to Anatoly for the superb breakfast and engaging conversation.

We had a great three-day stay in Shelburne with so much to do. The inn is walking distance to the amazing Shelburne Museum as well as nice restaurants and shops. The coffee and breakfast all three mornings were among the best we’ve had, and you choose the day ahead — so they buy everything fresh. It’s lovely, clean and comfortable, but not fussy. Rose and Anatoly are fabulous hosts with warm, fun and welcoming personalities. We would definitely go back again!

The Heart of the Village Inn is the best! The rooms and cozy and the beds and pillows are ver comfortable! Anatoly makes the most delicious breakfasts I’ve ever had. Rose and Anatoly are warm and ver welcoming! It was a pleasure to stay there!!
