I stayed in the Portma Ritz Carlton for 2 nights just after Christmas. The service was excellent, all of the staff went above and beyond to help me. They greeted me by name, remembered my coffee and drink orders and went to great lengths to help me. The staff in the club lounge were amazing, Lisa, Tina, Sunny, Vincent and others. The floor attendant Cici was also so helpful. The location is great, many restaurants around and short walk to The Kerry Center and Jingan temple. definitely recommend!

The staff at the reception cannot speak fluent English, but they are very helpful and positive. They do their best to answer your questions. Very nice working area on the ground floor for business purposes. Chic design looks quite good. Location is perfect as its in walking distance to the famous West Nanjing Road and its metro station. On the other direction, if you want to walk a bit more, you can also reach to Hanzhong Road metro station. Rooms are relatively small, so if you travel as a family, you'd better check the room photos before booking this hotel. Also, specifically room 714, had dampness smell in the bathroom. I hope the management can find a way to fix it. I recommend this hotel to especially business and solo travelers.

The hotel is In walking distance to the major shopping center and 15 minutes walk from the embassy. The star of this establishment is the service. The staff is kind and courteous. They also have a working robot which is always a plus. I would recommend to persons who want to explore this area and need an affordable place as well as those who come to do an interview at the embassy.

The hotel itself was good for the price but the shower door didn’t close all the way. The ladies at the front desk were very unprofessional and they didn’t speak English at all! I was so surprised because they listed this hotel in Trip.com. Maybe they need to hire bilingual employees. Also, the walls are too thin so you can hear everything that people say when walking outside or near your room.

Facilities: There are several lights in the room, which makes the room that is not too bright even less bright. But what I can't understand is why the cleaning aunt still entered the house after I hung up the ”Do Not Disturb” sign, and every time we were not there, one day we were a little tired, from the morning until 4 pm in the hotel, during this period, there was no cleaning aunt knocking on the door, But when we came back from the house, we found that the garbage in the house was collected (the do not disturb sign was hung at the door for 3 days after staying at the hotel).

I didn’t feel very satisfied with the room I originally booked. I upgraded to a round bed room. The round bed room is still very beautiful and the environment feels good. The most important thing is that it is very, very close to the Museum of Nature, 200 meters away in a straight line. There is also a subway nearby. Station, you can go to the science and technology museum, but personally feel that there are not many breakfasts nearby

Undoubtedly a treasure shop~~ Thank you to Manager Cheng and Manager Chen for your warm reception and communication. You are all great and provided us with cordial and meticulous care while we were away from home. The young man and young lady in the front office were very attentive, delivering water, cards, and giving directions. Thank you very much. The tone of the hotel is that of old Shanghai. Everything from the decoration to the furniture is very comfortable and the space is very large. The bathroom also has a heated towel rack, which is a thumbs up. The cards and letterheads prepared by the hotel are amazing, polite and affectionate, they are your soul~~ Thank you for your care and reception. See you in Shanghai in the future!

The sense of detail is great~ Late night porridge is available every night from 9:30 to 11 p.m. Free porridge and snacks are provided. I will bring my parents here around the Chinese New Year, and I plan to book this place then. Really highly recommended

It feels pretty good. The young lady at the front desk is also very nice. Maybe it looks like the room is small, but the house price in Shanghai is very high. The hotel is also easy to find. It is actually quite convenient to take the subway. It is about 1.2 kilometers away. But the road is unobstructed, very close to People’s Square, just 1 stop by subway and 2 stops on the Bund, there are also delicious food around, there is barbecue downstairs, but it is not recommended to be expensive

The service was very friendly and speak good English, you can pay with a foreign credit card (which seems to be rare in China) nowadays. I stayed one night in the Mini room with a double night and enjoyed the stay. The wifi was good enough to watch a movie fluently and to have video calls! The only thing is that there is no window (only one to the corridor), so the air is not that fresh all the time, especially after taking a shower.

Not one of the fanciest places to stay in Shanghai but it's a practical room with pretty much everything you'd have in your own flat. Has a large fridge, stove top, microwave, sink, and even has a washing machine, which was the highlight of the place (summer in Shanghai is no joke, man). Management was kind and made sure I to go to her if I needed anything. The location is great and near a lot of restaurants, pubs, and very close to downtown (about a 15 minute car ride). Has an ALDI across from the building too. Only complaint was that the sheets are paper thin and not heavy. Overall, I had a nice and quiet stay and the price if very reasonable for everything you get.
