Hotel Fernando III

Casco Antiguo
The hotel was in a very good location to see all the main areas of Seville on foot and the price was also reasonable. Friendly service, clean facilities, and comfortable to relax around late at night. However, in the room located on the side of the road, you can hear a little noise of cars running on the bumpy road at dawn.

We were not staying at the hotel , but having met some rather rude waiters in the “we are so busy we don’t care” area around the palace we spotted the roof top terrace advert. Great view and the beers were cold and tasty. Marta in the rooftop bar was friendly and efficient - so hospitable, professional and full of interesting conversation. A Star! On reception I needed help with purchasing some tickets on line Helena was amazing - polite, professional and just brilliant in every way. She navigated the Spanish website for me and the tickets were sorted. Again a Star! If these two wonderful people are a reflection of the hotel then - wow! Big thank you to both ;)

The hotel is not far from the main cathedral and the palace, the location is very good There are not many rooms, but it is a small and exquisite hotel. There are exactly two rooms with four friends. They are arranged on the fourth floor of the top floor. The rooms are very large and have a coffee machine. The fifth floor is a small roof bar with a good view, but it seems that the price is not cheap

The hotel is a quiet courtyard house. Once you enter the hotel, it is like entering a small world with a good smell. There is a good smell of flowers. At 7:45, there is a guitar playing. It is very romantic. The scenery on the rooftop is not bad. The room is decorated in a lot of styles, the bed is comfortable, the bathroom is long and narrow, and it may be a problem of the old building type, but it does not affect the use. Very recommended. The breakfast at the hotel seems to be 5 euros. There are not many choices but the quality is very good. My husband especially likes the cheese cake, which is the best food he has ever eaten.

We don’t usually rate 5 stars (or for TripAdvisor, five “dots”) for a hotel like this. Typically, we’d give it four. But something about the hotel was remarkably appealing. Certainly, the location helps. The little streets and alleys surrounding the hotel are magical. Disney couldn’t do it better. Our rooms (we had two) were spacious and quiet. The staff remarkably friendly. Not just helpful. Friendly. And the adjacent La Casa del Flamenco fulfilled our dreams of seeing Flamenco in Sevilla. Perhaps its Sevilla itself. In the hotel’s neighborhood, around every corner is something unexpected. Another plaza. Another restaurant. A sightseeing paradise. Local families enjoying a meal al fresco at the next table - - one of them playing a guitar and everyone singing. Sometimes a Spanish song. Sometimes John Lennon. And then there is the Royal Alcazar. Ahh, Sevilla.

Very good location. Close to the major sites. Difficult to find since it is in a set of alleyways. You cannot drive a car here, so if you have a vehicle, research parking first. The nearest underground lot at Jardine Murillo was full, so we found the San Bernardo Parking Lot, but it was a half-mile walk dragging luggage over cobblestones. This was not a deal-breaker; I mention it to be aware. The hotel was fine, the staff were rather cool and not too very friendly, but they were helpful enough. The room was fine and our room faced the alley with the outdoor restaurant, so we heard the noise until they closed, which was early enough. The rooftop terrace has a spectacular view of the cathedral and the Giralda tower, but the bar is not open. There is also no dinner at the hotel, but there are so many places nearby. The best thing is the location. It's pretty interesting staying in these medieval allies. The Real Alcazar palace is a must-see and you can spend all day there and still not see it all. The gardens are wonderful. The cathedral is huge and different from any that I have seen prior. And of course, you must walk up the 37 ramps of the Giralda tower. Take a stroll down to the river. Even the bull ring is nearby.
