Dawn the owner was wonderful. Warm and welcoming! The Inn is lovely. Very clean and quiet setting. They have done a fantastic job with renovations. Great ocean view. Very nice breakfast. The location is perfect. Very close to Belfast. We will definitely be staying at the Captain Nickels Inn again.

What a wonderful experience! This beautifully appointed, perfectly situated and comfortable in was just what we needed. The innkeeper is a delight, the breakfasts were elegant, and our room was perfect. The light and airy dining areas as well as the huge porch overlooking the ocean were so nice to come back to after a day of exploring.

The Inn is beautiful itself not a detail missing throughout the space/mixing tradition with everyday conveniences, or on the lovely grounds it sits on. Dawn and her team made our stay so comfortable and inviting. Her made from scratch breakfasts were amazing, along with the homemade treats available throughout the day. We're letting friends and family know what a jewel this spot is and we can't wait to go back! - Sandy & Mike

I had a wonderful experience at Captain Nickels Inn with Dawn, Innkeeper and Deb, Assistant Innkeeper. The Room was amazing. The breakfast service was 5 Star. I thoroughly enjoyed my 5 days stay and I really enjoyed exploring the area. The proximately to Belfast and other quaint towns was perfect. Took a drive to Freedom Maine to check out The Lost Kitchen. I highly recommend Captain Nickels Inn for great get away.

Captain Nickels Inn was a pleasant surprise. The Inn itself was terrific. Our accommodations in the Amos Suite couldn’t have been better. Great views, roomy and a beautiful deck. The breakfast were delicious. Most of all the Owner Dawn and the assistant Inn Keeper Deb were both very friendly and welcoming. Our stay at this Inn was one of the highlights of our trip.

The gourmet breakfasts every morning delighted our palette’s, and were served with TLC by Dawn and Debbie. We were so impressed with the Inn. It exceeded our expectations. Every afternoon, we would sit in the tavern at the back of the Inn, have a glass of wine and look out over the gorgeous property. We could not have been more pleased with the accommodations.

This is the ultimate 'captains house' experience. The history and architecture of the house is fabulous. The windows in the breakfast area are great and the evening bar over looking the yard and the water is very neat. Everything about the experience was first class. I highly recommend staying here. In addition, it is centrally located so it is easy to go up and down the coast to see most, if not all sights if you are looking for a home base for day trips. In addition, Dawn and Deb were highly responsive to all questions, emails and text messages.

We had the most wonderful experience staying at the Inn. The owner Dawn has thought of every small detail to ensure that her guests have an extraordinary stay. The home is beautiful. The breakfast rooms are all windows which showcase the beautiful grounds and scenery. The fireplace in our room was in a wonderful addition as we were there in October. If we could give our stay at the end more than a 10 we certainly would. Fabulous accommodations and delightful owner

We were kept well-informed from the time we made our reservation until we arrived. We were greeted and treated like family. Enjoyed a lovely glass of wine while walking toward the water. After a wonderful night's sleep on the comfortable bed, we had a wonderful breakfast with the best strawberry scones! I just wish that we had been able to stay longer! Highly recommend!
