The hotel staff were nice but dishonest. They overcharged me and refuse to reimburse me for the extra nights. I had booked for 6 nights but I got very sick and I left early and they continued to charge me the full amount. This is unacceptable. When I disputed the charge, the hotel changed my check out date in order to keep the money. This is a lack of integrity from the management of the hotel.

Booking and checking was fast and easy. Hotel is close to parking garage Parkeergarage de Vest, that may be full sometimes and Parkeergarage Kanaalschiereiland. It is in walking distance from rail and bus station (15 minutes). Hotel is on the street in old town with all the perks and disadvantages. It is beautiful around. Everything is near, but it may be also little noisy. Room was nice and clean, bed was comfortable. I stayed in economy room and nothing reminded economy. The hotel is perfect for Pokemon Go players. You can spin 7 Pokestops from your bed.

It is a nice hotel, but from a 4* I‘m expecting more. Romms haven‘t been very clean and even after roomservice there was still no clean carpet and dust in the bathroom. The whole building seems to have seen better times. Reception was very friendly, but in general and for the money we paid we expected a better experiance and cleaner rooms.

Very plessant stay in one of the superior rooms. The host was very kind and helpul with tips etc about Alkmaar. Stayed here for 2 nights without breakfast. We like to go out and experience as many as possible outside the hotel. Perfect staying, comfortable beds, airco, large windows and even a steamshower. Will definitely recommend this hotel!

We Hand an Great Stay in this Hotel! The Rooms were very clean when we came and the Staff was always friendly and helpful. The only bad Point was the Room Service. When we came back from out trip with bikes the Room seemd so be clean but at a closer Look the cups were the one we already used and they just got turned around. The same with the cups in the bathroom. They also took our soap without bringing new ones! So we think the room service is just folding the blankets and bringing new towels. All in all it is nevertheless a very nice hotel in Alkmaar and we would come again!

Centrally located hotel in an old post office. Rooms and facilities as shown on the website. Room size generous. Top cleanliness. Very helpful and very friendly staff with tips on the surrounding area. Room requests were taken into account and there was a fantastic upgrade. Breakfast very good. What you need to know: the city centre of Alkmaar is also lively and popular (with tourists) in the evening. The seagulls in the city centre and the chimes of the "Waag" can also be heard at night - if you want to sleep with the window open, you should be aware of this.

The room was great! We had a junior suite. We booked it with bath, but it came with a sauna as well. That was not a bad surprise. The bed was very comfortable and everything we needed was there. The room was very well cleaned. The staff is amazing and very kind. Breakfast was delicious! No bad thing to be said.
