Excellent bed and very hot swimming pool and innocent cleanliness. Perfect home and breakfast buffet very very good, generous and of high quality. Parking is very large and the quiet is perfect.

Then noisy room, smaller, more coffee, more overclass... extra bed at €15 with impossibility to sleep in (bed bars) forced to put the matlas on the ground... No information about the room its spa and fitness that you will discover The hotel is very comfortable and very comfortable.

Fine if you want somewhere cheap and trendy to get your head down, right by the station and a lovely rooftop area but so many things let the hotel down: 1. Only one thin pillow per bed (when asked they did provide a second each) 2. A weird eggy smell that seemed to lurk everywhere, in the shower area when we arrived, in the restaurant whenever we walked past. Think they have some drainage issues. 3. The double rooms are incredibly compact with just 6 coat hangers to put all your clothes on. No wardrobes or drawers. 4. The shower opens into the main room where the sink also is so no privacy 5. Staff don’t seem overly bothered by anything, didn’t even check the system when we asked if there was the possibility of a twin room instead. 6. Communal tea facilities without milk 7. Loud trains woke you up daily from around 6am

This must rate as the worst accommodation we have ever stayed in.The advert on Booking.com says refurbished, unfortunately they don't tell you in what century . The hotel looked freshly painted in their photo but on arrival the outside including stairs were black with mildew and the stairs were slippery. Arrived at 4.30pm to find reception shut and had to check in via a machine outside. When reception opened there wasn't any English speaking staff although they boast ”we speak your language”. On accessing our room we were speechless. Apart from being incredibly small, the curtain was hanging by 2 hooks, the 1 small window was not secure. The radiator was filthy and the aircon unit was wedged on top of a tiny clothes cubicle and was so filthy we did not dare use it. The bedside lamp was hanging off, The toilet would only flush if it was thumped and a hole was where we supposed the extractor fan should have been. This accommodation is definately one to wipe your feet on leaving. Consider it a health and safety hazard and find somewhere better.

There are not enough adjectives in my vocabulary to describe Les Sources de Caudalie: Wow, Amazing, Phenomenal… It is a member of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World. Nestled in the heart of the Bordeaux countryside, surrounded by acres and acres of vineyards, you will find Les Sources De Caudalie. From any view on the property, you will be able to view the rolling hills full of rows of grape vines. To the south you will have white grapes, and to the north, red. The resort ‘s structure is a combination of wood and stone. The architecture and design is that of an old farmhouse chateau with rustic buildings and manicured gardens. A pond sits in the heart of the resort full of wildlife. Amenities include their 3 restaurants. We had the opportunity to eat at all 3 of their restaurants and they were all very good. You can enjoy an indoor and outdoor pool. Next to the resort is their amazing Spa building, and the famous winery Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte. They also have 2 bars and several cozy sitting areas throughout the property. Bicycles are provided for free. Riding the backroads of the vineyards is an experience in itself. In addition, they have a forest nearby that has a nature/sculpture trail. The walk is about a good hour. With respect to the rooms, they are cozy, comfortably updated, and very nicely decorated. Our room was on the ground floor. It had a table with two chairs in the terrace which offered wonderful opportunities to frequently sit to relax mornings and evenings before dinner as we enjoyed some wine and cheese while taking in all the surrounding beauty and gorgeous sunsets. As to the service, again, it was phenomenal! From the check in clerk, to the restaurant staff, and their housekeeping team, which serviced your room twice per day. Throughout our stay, the staff was pleasant in asking if everything was to our liking. The hotel is perfectly located to use as a hub to visit the many beautiful towns and wineries the Bordeaux region has to offer. We look forward to hopefully returning in the near future to Les Sources de Caudalie for some rest, relaxation, and rejuvenation.

I have booked this hotel 3 months in advance and for more than one year for medical reasons. I spend a night every 3 weeks. Previous managers, staff, have always been very careful, the rooms are small but clean and it is very correct for the proposed rate. Since M.... has been replaced by a new director, the director now runs this hotel with a rail hand, real indifference and disrespect for the clients, the convenience that made me choose this hotel is disappearing. Before she took the direction, I had the same room, booking three months in advance, now she doesn't hurt this request, which I thought was reasonable and which was part of the service quality of this establishment. I will regret the staff who, I suppose, must also suffer his caprices, but I will not return to it anymore.
