Holiday Inn Express & Suites Saskatoon East - University

Is a newly opened hotel, quiet, comfortable, hygienic, attentive service, rich and delicious breakfast, indoor pool has a lot of color. It is 5 minutes away from the University of Saskatchewan, and is surrounded by fast food and banks, which is very convenient.

I was booked here for 4 nights for a conference. We ended up having a staffing emergency that I found out about just hours before I was supposed to leav (due to a coworker having COVID) for Saskatoon. I called the Bessborough and told them that I was unable to come or else our department at the hospital was at risk to close some services. They refused to waive the cancellation fee. I understand it was my issue cancelled that close to check in but I have had other hotels waive the fee in the same situations since they are extenuating circumstances. I asked if I could rebook my 4 nights instead of being charged the fee and they said they would have to pre-charge my card. Very disappointed in the Bessborough's rigid policy and unwillingness to be even a little bit flexible. I would definitely book with a different hotel next time that is more understanding.

Room was nice and clean. Small bathroom. Mini fridge. Lobby is basic with resturant and coffee shop with limited hours. Isn't much close to grab a coffee or snack. Area felt unsafe - If I was alone and venturing out I would stay somewhere else. Elevators were quick. Our kids wanted to stay somewhere with a waterside. We have tried 3 other Saskatoon hotels with waterslides, all lower price points, and by far superior. We decided to give Delta a chance and it was disappointing, and 90% because of the pool area. The pools were cloudy, we couldn't see the bottom, they all had scum floating on top. We had to inconvience a life guard(we only saw her for a few minutes, so not really a life guard like her shirt said) to turn on the waterslide for us. The old tile floor/stairs were stained dirty and looked like a mould problem in many spots. We mostly worried about air quality with the amount of visible mold. You access the pool on the 3rd fl, but then walk down 3 or 4 flighs of stairs to the pool area. Pool wouldn't be feasible with mobility issues. Same stairs used for the waterslide access. Handrail was only on one side of the staircase, which is unsafe considering they are all wet. Will we stay here again? Probably not. Is this hotel showing it's age? Yes

Myself, my fb & his brother booked two rooms for a family funeral. My bf’s other brother & his gf, who arrived a day after we did, requested a room close to us. They were simply told “no”. Not “I’m sorry, there isn’t anything available.” Just “no”. They were also charged $13 for parking while we were not! You could tell it’s an older hotel but has been renovated nicely. It was very clean and the bed was comfy, which is most important. We were not in the West Wing, but in the main hotel. Was quiet as well, also important. We found the room warm but you could not open a window. Just a small slat could be opened at the bottom of the window. It did not provide much relief but we were comfortable enough. The bathroom did not have a fan! Nice Irish pub 20 steps from the hotel lobby. Very nice restaurant off lobby as well. Over all it was an ok stay, but wasn’t impressed with how our other family member was treated, so wouldn’t stay here again.

My kids loved the waterpark , the rooms were super clean and the staff kept up on any request we had. The restaurants and food were great as well. We were there for Warman Cheer Classic and they accommodated all cheerleaders fantastic!
Staybridge Suites Saskatoon - University

This was a hotel connected on one side to the Holiday Inn. It is perfect if you need to go to the University of Saskatchewan as it's right across the street. The kitchen area was very nice to have. You have a private breakfast area on the 9th floor which has eggs, meat, fruit, oatmeal, waffles, breads muffins. It was good. Only one of the days we had to call the front desk because there was no one filling and cleaning the food and by the time they refilled food at 10 to 10 AM people had already left. The other days they did have a dedicated staff member that was filling everything. There is a pool and hot tub on the main floor that is shared with the Holiday Inn guests. The staff were very friendly.. We have stayed there now on 2 different occasions and occasions and would definitely come back. On one occasion the staff were cleaning the room and had left the door wide open open which I didn't appreciate as I had left my purse on the little credenza by the front door. I know. I noticed the other days the other cleaners always did shut the door when they were cleaning. The staff are always wiping the floors and and cleaning the common areas. The only thing we didn't like was there were only 2 elevators that were shared for both the Holiday Inn and the Staybridge So often times you were waiting for an elevator.
