HOTEL MYSTAYS Sapporo Susukino

Susukino Sapporo|0.11km from Bali Hai
Small room, 1 block from the Snow Festival's Susukino Ice Sculptures We stayed here for 7 nights during the Sapporo Snow Festival. Our GPS didn't work very well so it took a while to get to our hotel. It's about 6 blocks from the subway exit. Best to know the way to get there beforehand but there are many exits from the subway which can get confusing. The hotel itself is modern. The rooms are very small. No closet so if you have a lot of luggage, this could be a problem. Next to the bed is a tiny table and chair/stool. Complimentary tea. The best amenity is that it has a public washer and dryer for your laundry on the 6th floor. When traveling, this is a gold standard. It cost 300 yen for the washer and 100 yen for the dryer. I had to cycle the dryer a few times but still very reasonable for the convenience. The laundry room also has vending machines for hot and cold drinks and a microwave. Their restaurant offers a simple buffet for breakfast for 1000 yen. English is limited. As far as location, if you are planning on going to the Snow Festival, I would recommend booking a hotel early (almost a year ahead) so you can stay closer to Odori train station. While you can walk from the Susukino to Odori subway station underground (or take the train), it can get tiresome by the end of the day especially walking through the snow once you get to the festival. The plus side of staying in Susukino is that the subway is close so you can get to most attractions around Sapporo with subway and a bus ride/walking the rest of the way. The ice sculptures which are part of the snow festival are located nearby this hotel.

Hotel Route-Inn Sapporo Chuo

I'm always very satisfied ... I always choose eco plan for my job. This time, as usual, when I asked, ”I'm sweating, so I'd like you to change your room clothes.” , ”I don't mind paying or without eco benefits, so I want to work in the room in the morning, so I would like you to put it in with a change of towels and hang it on the door.” ”I can't do it because it's outside the rules. I don't make an eco plan, so the cleaner comes to the room in the morning and knocks, so please tell me that you want a room clothes directly at that time.” The first day was scheduled to be only desk work in the room in the morning, so there was no problem. However, the second day was a web meeting in the room, but I had to go to the meeting while paying attention to the knock, so I was lacking concentration and became a meeting of indigestion. I was there. If you usually say that you want to work in the room, you can give me your room clothes at the front desk in advance, or even if you don't make an eco plan and ask for a knock yourself, put your room clothes with towels and the like and put them in the door. and he kept it on me. From the stricter perspective, they may be undesirable behavior outside the rules, but since Corona, telework has become commonplace, and it is normal to apply the free time during business trips to telework. Therefore, the hotel is the best environment on the go. Therefore, we decide the hotel with the importance of being an environment where you can concentrate and telework when staying at the hotel. I really like the food and bath at the route inn, and if it is available not only in Sapporo, I choose the route inn. So I was very disappointed this time.

I never stayed in Sapporo city in luxury, but I stayed for the first time this time. I thought it was a larger hotel, but it is small. Because it was a continuous night, I put it in the hot spring during the day, but it seemed to be popular with the local people, and it was quite crowded. The hot springs that enter the middle city under the freezing point are the best. However, the public bath is not a hot spring, only the open-air bath seems to be a hot spring.

Spent 2 nights at the Livemax Hotel in one of the smallest rooms I’ve ever rented. At probably a little over 100 sqft, it was about $1.50/sqft per night. Service was limited. On check-in, you receive a complementary bottle of water. When I went to ask for another bottle on the second day, using Google Translate, “oh, you mean a plastic bottle of water”, the desk informed me there was a vending machine on the 2nd floor. I even offered to pay her for the bottle she had in her hand. No luck. I was surprised at the TripAdvisor ratings on this hotel (4). I gave it a 2 only because it was fairly new (taxi drivers don’t know the location) and in pretty good condition. With the impending 2020 summer olympics, the hotel chain will need to up their game, particularly with English language skills for the tourists they’re expecting.

It is convenient to access from New Chitose Airport, 3 minutes walk from Susukino bus stop, and 3 minutes from the nearest subway Toyosui Susukino station. Previously, super hotels had an inorganic and cheap image, but recently, the service has improved with the catch phrase ”LOHAS Hotel”, and the cost performance is good and the satisfaction is high no matter which store is used. This time, because it is the GoTo campaign period, despite the extremely low price that it comes with a regional coupon for less than 3,000 yen per night, not to mention breakfast, There are several 10 kinds of welcome drink services including alcohol, and it is a self-service style, so it is 々 and glass (infectious disease control is perfect, and it is actually a disposable disposable cup). OK. The room has a charging plug that supports all mobile phones and a mini sofa that is not seen in a business hotel so much, so you can spend a really comfortable time. In addition, breakfast is served with a lot of healthy salad and vegetable banzai as well as carbohydrates and sausages *. I didn't have time this time and I couldn't enter the natural hot spring, but I would like to stay if I have another chance.

Very good location in Sapporo. Very near all the places we hope to visit. Unfortunately while we are there, we couldn't get a carpark from the hotel. There is no drive way lobby, so it can be confusing to enter the hotel. You got to get your luggage off the taxi stand, before parking your vehicle in another building. But for the price & location , it is all good. Great breakfast 👍🏿
