Overall pleasant stay (4/5), I will just post what I think could be the expected improvement points in such a high occupancy hotel.
First the room, there was an unpleasant smell, (not smoke or sluice or cleanliness) which didn’t improve with ventilation. I had the chance to visit several other rooms, same issue.
The sound proofing of windows had definitely to be improved, probably replacing seals: I was in tower A, 12th floor (so quite high), it’s not acceptable that I had to wear earplugs overnight.
Throughout these several days I noted a certain distress of the breakfast area, with queues for coffees, items not always available or timely refurbished.
On the other hand, I noted a very attentive and quite numerous staff, but probably not accurately directed.
Just my inexperienced impression.

Hotel is clean and new, walking distance to the beach. We also enjoyed the complimentary photo shooting. All the staff are very friendly. Special thanks to our personal assistant during the stay, Kate, who is a super-helpful and sweet. She greeted us everyday during the stay, made very prompt reply to any of our request, helped us to find our lost item. It’s a great experience for all of our family members.

Quite a grand looking hotel. We booked club connecting rooms and the 2 rooms were large and well equipped. The Club lounge was terrible with awful food and drink and no windows - not worth it. Breakfast was average and I found the constantly sticky tables very off putting. Breakfast was in a canteen-style room called ‘all-day dining’, it was only open for breakfast. We used meituan or other restaurants outside the hotel for lunch and dinner. Location is on the beach, but there’s literally nothing really worth visiting within walking distance and we had to rely on taking DiDis everywhere. One or 2 people spoke a bit of English, luckily my son speaks Chinese, I am not sure how easy it would’ve been without him translating. Would I return, probably not, I’d pay more and go to a proper 5 star hotel
A very satisfying stay! Crowne Plaza Sanya Yazhou Bay is in a prime location, just a 5-minute walk from Yazhou Bay Beach. The beach is clean and sparsely populated, with beautiful scenery, suitable for walking and taking pictures. The hotel rooms are very spacious and clean, with modern decoration, and very comfortable to live in. Special thanks to Anya at the front desk for her warm reception and help, and for arranging a late check-out for us, so that we can pack our luggage and rest more calmly. The breakfast is rich in variety, with both Chinese and Western food, and the taste is also very good. The overall service is very good, the staff is friendly and friendly, and I feel at home. I will definitely choose here next time I come to Sanya, and I will also recommend friends to stay here!
