Canaves Elefas Villas

An absolutely stunning property in a beautiful location, situated right on the caldera edge between Imerovigli and Fira. The views were simply spectacular and it was within easy walking distance of both towns. The villa was maintained to a very high standard, and the service was superb. On our final day after checkout we were able to spend the day at another Canaves property, Canaves Epitome, using the pool until our departure that evening. We also are ate there and at Canaves Oia during our stay. The team were so helpful and obliging, arranging all of this including transfers for us. All in all a truly wonderful stay!

We spent 5 nights in the 2-bedroom villa with a plunge pool. It was perfect for 2 couples. It’s an incredible location nestled between Imerovigli and Fira. It’s very private as the path is above the villa. Most places on the caldera have paths above and below. We went to several of the “must-see perfect sunset views” in Oia and Fira. While they were all breathtaking, Eden Villas is the best place for the sunset. And you don’t have to share it with hordes of people. There are plenty of restaurants in walking distance. Fira is a 10-minute walk. And Oia is 20 minutes by taxi. There were 2 outdoor seating areas in addition to the terrace. The one on the edge of the cliff is a great place to watch sunsets. It even has an electrical plug in case your camera battery needs charging so you won’t miss a single photo. The sunbeds are comfortable and very good quality. It was very clean and looked freshly painted. Fresh bottled water was plentifully supplied on a daily basis. Antonis (the manager) reached out before our trip to introduce himself and see if there was anything he could do in anticipation of our trip. He and his staff are top-notch. Lamprini, Alex and Stella made us feel like we were royalty. Their attention to every detail was above our expectations. They greeted us with a bottle of wine and a fresh fruit plate. They also packed a little snack and bottle of wine upon our departure to take on the ferry. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were an unexpected highlight. The staff sweeps the terrace and sets the outside table daily before bringing you a delicious and hearty meal. The breakfast menu is several pages long. You can order however much you want. It was all delicious. Our favorites were the Greek eggs, omelets, butter and chocolate croissants, pancakes with either honey and cinnamon or chocolate sauce, Grandma’s pie of the day (usually spinach and feta), Greek yogurt with granola and honey, fruit salad and freshly squeezed orange or grapefruit juices. And of course, coffee. We ate so much for breakfast that we weren’t hungry again until mid-afternoon. Which was great because we didn’t have to fight the dinner crowds at that time. This was the first place we stayed in Greece. And by far, the best experience. The other 2 locations paled in comparison. Thank you Eden Villas for the wonderful memories.

We had the best time at Eden villas in santorini! Antonis, the manager was so wonderful, along with the rest of the hotel staff. Great location as well! Room was incredibly clean, and the bed was SO comfortable. Recommend for anyone looking for a place to stay while in Greece! Also…the view was AMAZING!!!

There are too many good things to say about Canaves Oia Eden Villas! The accommodation is private, intimate, and spotlessly cleaned daily - true high end accommodation in Imerovigli, Santorini - 5 stars! The plunge pool on the terrace overlooking the cliff was the icing on the cake! And the staff are so welcoming and accommodating - a magnificent place to holiday! Louisa (Villa manager) and her team showed our family true Greek hospitality, serving our needs effortlessly. Louisa answered all our queries, gave many recommendations on places to eat and visit, and booked all the reservations for us. Alex delivered us a lovely Greek breakfast on the terrace each morning, often bringing extra Greek specialties for our two young boys to feast on - it was most kind. And the rest of the team gave us a seamless stay, working around our personal time to clean and make our stay most enjoyable. Imerovigli, in my opinion has the best views of the Caldera, and the the view from our terrace was pristine and unblocked by any building, cliff or person... something I searched long and hard to find. Eden Villas has a true unimpeded view of the Caldera. We stayed for 8 nights, alternating between going out and experiencing the lively local towns of Imerovigli and Fira (both walking distance), and Oia and other parts of the island which were a drive away - nothing is too far though. The villa location is perfect for day trips, located in the middle of the island; and, perfect for walking to the local buzzing towns and shops which are all open late in true Greek style. Etienne still speaks of the "Santorini Mullet" (fresh fish) at one of the Tavernas you recommended. Much love to you all!

We stayed in the two bedroom suite and it was perfect. Very spacious and immaculate. The views were beautiful. I am glad we stayed in Imerovigli, Oia is too crowded for my taste. Antonis, the villa manager was terrific! Anything we asked, he made happen. From transportation, dinner reservations, a photographer to a private sunset cruise. Thank you Antonis! We had a wonderful stay, I only wish we could have stayed longer.
