The boss is very nice. I made a mistake in booking earlier. I called the boss. He was very patient and the service was very good. It’s okay to sleep at night when the hotel is near the roadside. If you sleep in, I don’t recommend staying on the roadside. I left early in the morning and forgot to give you a tip. The boss took a photo. Tajik boss, I wish you a prosperous business.

It is less than 10 minutes walk from Reggiestan Square. It is close to the central area. It takes about half an hour to go to the train station. It is not far away. The hotel is easy to find on the street. The decoration and facilities are very good, and it is quiet and not noisy. The front desk staff is very fluent in English; Breakfast is on the B1 floor to 10:00 every day. There is hot water and tea to be filled with cups. The variety is relatively rich. Generally speaking, the taste is good, but there will be less fruit when you go late; the room and bathroom are particularly spacious, the furniture is retro, the bedding is still comfortable, and the corridor is cleaned in time; There are small supermarkets and restaurants around, convenient for eating and shopping.

After a few rough nights at a Soviet hotel, words can’t describe how happy I was to see this hotel. The male receptionist was very welcoming when I arrived as he let me check in a bit earlier after a train ride. The breakfast fulfilled my needs as they have fresh fruits, vegetables, yoghurt, eggs, coffee… no complaint. The guy working at the breakfast area was also very helpful. After I finished gym, I went up there. He immediately asked me if I needed water. It shows that he’s attentive. I felt happy staying there. The reason I booked it was the gym. As an active person, I need to work out on my travels. The gym is not fully equipped but it provides with the basics such as a treadmill, a bike and weights. Location wise, it’s not in the center of the tourist spot but it’s walking distance. It took me 15 min to get to Registan. Don’t worry though as Samarkand is pedestrian friendly.

I had the most amazing stay at Hilton Garden Inn Samarkand! Arrived and I was shookethd by how boujie the room was…. Super clean…. Special shoutouts to housekeeper Narmilya! She was so helpful. I met so many amazing staff at the reception too. I didn’t have the best experiences in Samarkand but they were all so lovely and made me feel safe, comfortable and welcome. Thank you especially to Sabina, Mumin, Charos, Doston, Mirali and Dimitry! I had some super helpful room service staff as well but I didn’t get their names! The food was great and affordable. If you’re coming to Samarkand as a westerner it can be a bit scary….. but the staff at HGIS made it so much easier…. I’ve never had a hotel experience where the staff have treated me so well….. I feel privileged and grateful to have met them all and received their service! Thank you HGIS! Love, Sim x

I chose Sangzor boutique hotel after reading all the good reviews here. The pedestrian street is just at the door step. Hotel staff Sobirjon is very helpful, he showed me the tourist information centre across, a few shops away when I wanted to book a trip to cross the Samarkent border to Tajikistan. I told Azamat, the manager of the tourist information centre that I was having problems booking Yandex rides back to hotel using Sangzor boutique hotel as destination as it is on a pedestrian street and most of the time Yandex drivers dont know where to alight me. He advised me to use the big red advertisment of the restaurant name (sorry I forgot) on the back wall where Yandex drivers alight me correctly at the back, just need to walk through the opening & see the hotel across with its red carpet. I also found out from Azamat that they have student guides for the 5h old city tour US45, local guide $65 and there’s a whole day 9-5pm tour with guide & transport US115. I stayed 3 nights here, it is very convenient with the tourist information centre across. Azamat personalised an itinerary for me to Tajikistan Pangjakent & Dushanbe. I went to Hamkor Bank to withdraw USD, paid for the trip & departed the next morning! Best hotel to stay & plan last minute trips! P/S upon check out, the staff at reception passed me a slip of paper with details of my stay. I realised at the Tajikistan Panjakent border custom wants to verify my stay at Samarkent and he wants to see my registration paper!

hotel was perfectly located with walking distance to many tourist attractions. The rooms are also good with all amenities. The best part is owner and the entire staff are available round the clock to ensure that their guests are well taken care off. In my case, I lost my luggage during my trip from Bukhara to Samrkand. The owner and his staff went above n beyond and within hours had it delivered to me. Once again I take this moment to thank the entire staff for their efforts. if ever i get an opportunity to visit Samarkand in future, this place is definitely going to be my place to stay.

The terrace room near the canal is very comfortable. In the super hot afternoon in Samarkand, it is very cool here, and you can lie down on the balcony. Although it is far from the city center, it is a good summer resort for middle-aged and elderly people. You can walk and ride a bike along the canal in the evening, which is a great experience. The hotel food tastes very average, but the hygiene is top-notch.

Everything was excellent until the black out happened twice in one morning on our last day at the hotel. ID of the toilets need improvement - need the racks to be spaced out for hanging clothes and towels. WiFi can be improved, randomly getting cut out, not so ideal for working. Heated water in the shower was a tad too hot and couldn't make it colder. Mr T. loves the bidets and the multi-functioned toilet bowls. Breakfast buffet was excellent with a wide range of selection.

Perfect
KKhawagaStaying in the Gestah Musavvir has been one of the best experiences of hotels in Uzbekistan throughout the trip to this country. And in this review I would like to express my great gratitude to the host and founder of the Gestah Sanjaro.
Absolutely wonderful man, kind, friendly, open to the world and educated intellectual with excellent English and Russian languages! Always been on communication, helped and made the maximum to make our stay in the gestahous as comfortable as possible.
On several occasions, Sanjar helped us with the advice of an experienced local resident, gave recommendations for the best restaurants and cafes, helped organize an interesting trip to Shahrisabs with the help of his friend, and at prices lower than offered in the city.
Immediately, I want to note this design of both hotel rooms and common zones decorated in a cute lamp retro style. Immediately, Sanjar was visible with love and long collecting an antique collection that became a decoration and a peculiar chip of the gestahous.
In both rooms and in common areas, it is always very clean; everything new, from bed linen to towels. Our room was very spacious, I could even do yoga in the room :-).
There is no breakfast in the Gestapo, but given the huge number of common food points in Samarkanda, it will certainly not be a problem for travelers and will allow to keep very pleasant prices for accommodation in the Gestapo.
As a summary: 100% recommend the gestahous to budget tourists, you can count on the owner's help on any issue of ”local orientation.” If there is a chance to return to Samarkan, I will be very glad to stay again at Sanjara in the Musavvir gestahuse.
As a point of growth, and a drop of fair criticism, I would like to note that a couple of times there were short moments when hot water in the bathroom disappeared, but soon appeared back. If the Gestapo administration solves this problem, to my gesture assessment of 5 points boldly can be added plus!
:-)
Ddm_sI was a little skeptical about the actual quality of the Internet celebrity hotel at first, but from the moment I arrived, I felt that it made sense for it to be popular. The decoration is beautiful, the room is spacious and clean, the bedding is comfortable, the breakfast is rich, the staff is very friendly and the service is attentive.
The location is also good, Registan Square and Bibi Khanum Mosque are within walking distance, and even Shay Zinda can be reached on foot.
The only drawback is that the restaurant is relatively expensive and the taste is average.
GGuest UserGreat experience, beyond expectations. The room was perfect, spacious, and the bathroom was very modern. Only setback was that the TV did not offer many international channels or movies. Restaurants and breakfast were amazing, especially the rooftop bar. Great food. The Kamchatka crab salad and the bread were wonderful. The staff was great, service of high standards. All spoke English and were helpful when we went for sightseing the city, arranging transportation and any other requests. Finally, the Silk Road Project is very nice. Definetely the best place to stay in Samarkand, and it is at the same level of top 5-star brand hotels in Western countries.
GGuest UserGood choice! We stayed two nights in the 12beds room. The room was nice and tidy, a.c. was working properly and everyone got a nice bed, with curtains to have some privacy. In the room there are two bathrooms, and both are clean and with functioning showers. There is wifi and you can chill in the courtyard, which is really nice and relaxing. The hostel is not too far from the center and you can reach the incredible Registan in 45 minutes walking. Bear in mind, in summer Samarkand is scorching hot, so it would be better to take a yandex or a bus, asking for Amir Temur. The starting point for the bus is very close to the hostel. We didn't try the breakfast, so we can't comment about that. The host is exceptionally clear and talkative, and can speak english at a really good level He was keen to help us, underlying the main itinerary in Samarkand and suggesting us a really nice restaurant close to the hostel. Really, the host really knows how to make his job. Now, two little notes, amongst all the positive things we mentioned, both notes are referred to the 12 beds room. There are no lockers in the room, but the host was willing to help us, keeping in his office our valuable stuff. He also mentioned that there are plans of adding Lockers soon. The room is very (very) close to the street, so at night you can hear noises from the car passing by. You can sleep quietly with earplugs, but it's something worth to mention. There are plugs to charge your phone close to the bed, and that's nice. All in all a good choice.
SSylvia TeohI didn't take pic of the room as it is basic but spacious enough. The hotel is strategically located in between various sightseeing sites. For travellers who opt for tram and bus, you choose the right location because opposite the hotel just accross the road, there is a tramvay stop and bus stop. Tramvay goes to and for the main train station if you are departing for Tashkent or Bukhara. While bus goes around the city. Take bus 22 to go around the city area such as Registan centre. Take bus 31 to and for airport. Really convenient, affordable, and I highly recommend it.
PPanishaAlways my choice when I’m in Samarkand. The hotel owner was very kind to upgrade my room during my stay. Strategic location to many historical places, shops and restaurants. Overall the room was spacious, comfortable and clean.
AAnonymous UserIn the alley, very close to the scenic Guer Emir Temple, you can walk to it, the location is very convenient, the terrace can also be seen from a distance, the scenery is good. The hotel is magnificent, the overall decoration of the palace feels golden. The room is small and clean. There are disposable items such as toothbrushes, and the sockets are the same as in China and do not need to be converted. There is no elevator, and large luggage is a bit difficult. When I left, I received a tourist tax according to the head of the person. Children also counted, 51000 sum per person per night, which is similar to the 30 yuan marked by Trip , but some hotels did not charge it and did not know how to price it. There are many varieties of breakfast, relatively rich in taste, and the dining environment is comfortable.
JJiaojiaoThe correspondence between the men at the front desk and the young women was smiling, and it was easy to consult about problems. The interior of the hotel was very nice. Located 20 〜 30 minutes walk from Registan Square and Shahzinda, there was no inconvenience in moving because you can call a taxi conveniently by yangdex go.
I would like to use it next time.
LLeemaDiyor Hotel is definitely a go. It’s in Registan Square vicinity and super near to anything. There’s a restaurant beside the hotel if you want a quick bite or if you decide to skip breakfast that the hotel provide.
About the room, I have no complains. They have hot showers, dryer, electric kettle, blankets, aircon and tv. If you have an issue with your room, politely ask for a change. They will gladly do it. On the first day I came, my door was unable to lock. However, they immediately gave me a new room without any fuss.
Also, twice I came down late for my complimentary breakfast. But there’s an elderly woman whom I called ‘Ama’ helped made me a nice one on both occasions. If case you don’t know, this is a family hotel.
There’s also a young man named Anwar who managed the counter. Should you need any help, don’t be shy to ask him. On the day I need to leave, I asked him to wake me up at 4am because I had a flight to catch. He really did call my phone to wake me up. I really appreciate the service.
I definitely recommend to those who wants to book a room here. I assure you will find it better than most.
(Ps: I didn’t take any photo as I thought that since I have experienced nothing negative, I don’t need to take any.)
