Khan Hotel Samarkand

This is a good hotel with an excellent location, within walking distance of Samarkand's main attractions. The area is quiet and peaceful, and there are many international tourists among the guests, creating a very comfortable atmosphere. The staff deserves special thanks: always welcoming, attentive, and ready to help. On the downside, there was an unpleasant smell in the bathroom, and the breakfasts seemed quite modest. Otherwise, I was satisfied with my stay. It's a great option for exploring historical Samarkand and walking around the old city.

The hotel's location is excellent, right opposite the famous Shah-i-Zinda necropolis, which is very convenient for visitors planning to explore the tombs. It's about a 15-minute walk to the Bibi-Khanym Mosque, and along the way, you can experience the local street scene. Overall, the attractions are concentrated, making it ideal for travelers who enjoy exploring on foot. The check-in experience was good. The room was clean, bright, and spacious. The bed was soft and comfortable, providing good relief from travel fatigue and ensuring a decent quality of rest. The only minor drawback is the limited dining options near the hotel. For dinner or to find a variety of local cuisine, you might need to walk a bit further, or consider planning your meals in advance while exploring during the day. Overall, it's a clean, comfortable, and well-located accommodation, especially suitable for travelers whose main purpose is to visit the necropolis and surrounding historical sites. If convenience for dining isn't a high priority, it's an excellent place to stay.

The hotel is located directly opposite the Shah-i-Zinda complex. It's about a 5-7 minute walk to the bazaar (souvenirs, dried fruits, nuts, sweets, etc.). The hotel is clean and new, and the breakfast menu changes daily. The selection isn't huge, but everything is delicious and fresh. We booked a junior suite, which was quite spacious. The only downside was the noisy air conditioning, but in spring, it was comfortable to sleep with the windows open. Samarkand is love at first sight! Thank you for your hospitality! We will definitely be back!

The hotel is great, and the breakfasts are delicious. At first, we used Google Maps to get to all the attractions, and it took a long time. Then, we looked at a map to see where everything actually was, instinctively walked up the street from the hotel instead of down, and found out everything was just 5 minutes away.

A wonderful hotel right in the city center, with attractions within walking distance. The staff are friendly and speak Russian, English, French, and German. There's a varied breakfast served from 7 AM to 10 AM, and a bar with alcoholic beverages. To the left of the hotel is a market, and to the right, a supermarket. It's great to have the option to refresh yourself in the pool, and the hotel provides towels free of charge. The room was clean, with housekeeping every other day. Shower gel and shampoo are provided, but no toothbrushes or toothpaste. There's a mini gym (treadmill, exercise bike, and weight machine) and a spa (sauna, hammam, jacuzzi). The hotel guests were mainly elderly French tourists, who were taken on excursions after breakfast and returned in the evening.

Cozy hotel with excellent service and pleasant rooms. The small but nice pool was perfect for escaping the heat. We specifically booked it again on our way back from Bukhara to Tashkent via Samarkand.
