Hotel Sempre Bahia

We hosted the hotel Sempre Ogunjá in the period from 22 to 26/01, we have some comments to make, as regards cleaning I have no much to talk very organised, but on the first day I made a complaint from the trailer that was very low and the receptionist reported that it was standard and that it was not to exchange but reported that there were two types of trawler one finer and another denseer but when I went to confer I still did not know my need. The day 25/01 request a file from the Milan that I didn't like the taste I didn't recommend, lunch. But the worst of all is that at the evening out around 15:00 I closed the room and delivered the key to the reception because the guest cannot take the key. I immediately called the receptionist and asked why my room was open, she didn't know what to say, so I'm waiting for the responsibilities to return. Since check-in I realized an uncertainty because my identification was not requested at any time, when I went to question the official he informed that it was why my husband had already a record. Summary: The hotel has no people who are entitled to manage, because the manager has never seen me to justify the incident.

We booked the hotel according to the comments from here and were surprised. The service since the doorway was always a prime. The location is privileged, perfect for going on the beach of the day or in the night bars, and all tips have always come from the receptionists, who deserve exalted. Hotel with shampoo, air conditioning and liquid savon, quality cable TV with various channels, a good space apartment, new swab and water and light saving measures. The coffee machine I wanted to bring home so good, the juices always with orange and another alternative, and of course, both natural. Heat cucuz every day, and the other dishes always varied, what we love. Brood, sweet and salty cakes, always new, and well prepared. The lies that are walking through the trees in front of the hotel have closed this experience with another's key. If you want to enjoy Salvador and don't spend the day inside the hotel, this is certainly one of the best alternatives.

This hotel does what it does well for the low cost. It is in a good location in a safe area of town. A rocky beach (not for swimming) is right outside, and although the rooms don't directly look out to sea, it was nice to be able to hear the ocean. The staff are friendly and helpful and although many speak some English, it is useful to be able to speak a little Portuguese . Breakfast was good, but dinner less so - on the night I ate in the restaurant the buffet wasn't on, and I suspect this would be better than ordering off the menu. The rooms are basic but clean and functional. Overall no complaints for the cost.

The hotel environment is very good, the top open-air swimming pool can directly enjoy the Atlantic view, good morning is also very good, fruit is rich. The room has a small balcony, you can sit directly in the room and blow the Atlantic sea breeze, the overall price is very high.

For the British amongst you .. think travel lodge / premier inn and that what this is . It’s basic , and old basic . We had the top floor sea-view room . It’s basic . Just a sheet on the bed a small old chair and tiny table . No tea or coffee making ( probably because of Covid ). A weird layout in the room I think to try to accommodate the view Travel lodge style wardrobe and shelving . If you are looking for a lovely romantic break I do not recommend this place . All that said it’s a nice location by the sea with a beach. ( no beds) The pool is small but nice . Again a bit 3 star . The staff are all excellent I can speak Portuguese so I’m not sure about how well they cater if you can’t speak Portuguese. This is not where the historical attractions of Salvador are , for that you need to take a bus or a taxi . There are lots of places to eat or drink in the evening nearby so you isn’t need to go anywhere at night if you don’t want to . The breakfast was ok . Again think travel lodge . All self service . No English tea . Personally I world definitely not stay here again or recommend it , but it depends on what you are expecting. If you are a foreigner visiting Salvador .. I would say stay in the central area in a small pousada.. do 2 nights , see the sights then go to a proper beach resort. They are about 50k away . This place is not one thing or the other .

A nice hotel at the beach in Barra. Ocean views are lovely. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is solid. The gym could use help - better equipment and AC units that both work.
