All the necessary ingredients are available: dresses, showers and sewing sets,everyday,if necessary. A very pleasant surprise was the early settlement: although I arrived at about nine o'clock in the morning, my room was already ready and I was immediately set. Here was written about the scarce breakfasts, which is very strange to me. Stayed at this wonderful hotel for three nights . Love the location , interior . Very friendly and helpful staff , we were offered an early check in , complimentary beverages . I had heard very good feedback about this hotel and saw the nice pictures on the website. Rooms looked great, and I was looking forward to staying there. Unfortunately I did not know that the hotel has renovated and unrenovated rooms which are not only awful but also very very small. When I arrived, I was given a tiny room with shabby furniture that looked like it was from 1985. Never before have I been to a hotel where pictures and reality were further apart. Unfortunately the hotel seemed fully booked so that I could not change the room. I left the next morning to move to another hotel. I must say that such inconsistency in the quality of the rooms is a sign of a poorly managed hotel. Such rooms should be renovated, not offered at high prices to guests who will inevitably be disappointed. Overall, I do not recommend this hotel. There are so many better options in St. Petersburg.

This is the perfect hotel, 7 minutes walk from the Ploschad Vosstaniya (Uprising Square) subway station. Nevsky Prospekt (Nevsky Street) is very close to the end of the road. There are some great bars nearby the Dead Poet Bar is nearby, there are some great cocktails. The room was fantastic - a big bed, a nice bathroom, a great breakfast, and very friendly and caring staff. This is a very recommended hotel and will stay again when in St Petersburg.

I stayed at the Hotel Moskva in 1986 when I visited the former Soviet Union. Then Leningrad was the first city we visited on our Intourist tour. You couldn’t visit the Soviet Union as an independent traveler in those days. The rooms in the photos look almost exactly as they did when we stayed there. It is a HUGE hotel. I believe it was the largest in the world in 1986. Looks like a good place to stay if you want to taste the former USSR. Location is great—you can walk most anywhere, including the Hermitage Museum. When I was there, the hotel was strictly divided with rooms on one side for Western tourists and the other for Eastern block/Russian tourists. The goal was that the tourists from each side did not meet each other. Each side had its own restaurants/bars. You paid in rubles on one side and dollars on the other. We “sneaked” over to the Eastern block side and had champagne and caviar with some Russians. It was much more lively and fun than the Western side. If I go to St Petersburg again, I will definitely stay at the hotel! I gave it a 5 bc when I went there, it was one of the high class hotels of the day.

When we first arrived at the hotel, we could see the restricted area of the lobby so I thought the rooms would be small. Turns out I was wrong, the lobby may be small but the rooms are big and sophisticated. The variety of food on the room service is limited but there are restaurants on the area. This hotel is not located right in the city center but it is quite close to the main attractions. By walking for 1-2 minutes we can reach the bank to exchange money, supermarket, restaurants and Watsons. We stayed here for 4 nights and enjoyed our stay immensely.
