I only had an overnight stay but I recieved a warm and comprehensive welcome from the staff. The rooms were cool and comfortable, particularly the bunk beds that are stable and quiet. The roof top has beautiful views. It felt safe an secure. Bathrooms were clean and functional. I'm looking forward to my return visit.

This is my second stay at The Secret Garden, first time was solo in the dorms and this time with a friend in a private room. The place is clean, the people are super friendly, the upstairs deck is fantastic with a view over the Quito Historic District. Views at night of the church are amazing. The private room was fine. Bathrooms are super clean, plenty of hot water. Though this hostal may 'cater' to mostly young people, it's a perfectly great place for those of us older people who have not lost the spirit of hostals. Had the group dinner one night and it was a delicious curry with rice. Lots of activities in-house or organized in Quito or far afield for anyone who wants to be part of a group. All-around great place walking distance to the historic district.

I really loved staying at the secret garden hostel. Special thanks to the staff - Miguel for the help with the checkin and the perfect cotopaxi recommendations and the always happy smile and Robinson for the help with booking all my trips starting from Quito. I can recommend everything except the daytrip to Quilotoa, it's just too much driving and too little time at the lake.. I was staying in the 16 dorm room, which doesn't have a good bathroom, but fortunately I met people who let me use their shower. but apart from that everything was perfect. The rooftop terrace is amazing :) come here if in quito if you're a solo traveller, I met so many new friends 😊 100% recommend

The first thing there is to say about this hostel is that the view is absolutely beautiful, even when the skies are gray ;) The beds are comfortable, the bathrooms clean, the showers hot and the location great. I'd definitely recommend checking it out, even if it's just to visit the rooftop restaurant.

We had a great stay at SG Quito! The private bedroom and bath were clean and comfortable. The rooftop (and happy hour) were awesome, location very close to historic center, and having laundry on site was incredibly convenient. It can be a bit loud with the bar upstairs and people moving around, but it wasn’t too bad

The staff here is excellent. Everyone cares about you having a great time during your stay and they go out of their way to make sure you enjoy yourself. Every night there were fun games on the roof top and happy hour from 6-7. They also offer tours on the bottom floor which are great and affordable. The free walking tour was also wonderful because of how fun Fernando was! I would highly recommend visiting!

Such an amazing place! Super comfy beds, really clean, lovely vibe and great place to hang out and meet people. Couldn’t recommend enough for solo travellers! Also do the free tour with Cristina, it’s amazing.
