We have often travelled to the fantastic Cycladic island of Milos. This year, however, we only stayed for 3 nights to visit friends. So we decided to book a very cheap accommodation away from the tourist hustle and bustle. We were very excited to see what awaited us. And lo and behold, we were very positively surprised! The detached complex is, as stated in the description, outside the village of Pollonia - Milos. The best thing is the absolutely unobstructed and therefore fantastic view from the balcony of the Greek Cycladic islands!!! There is also a parasol, table and seating. The rooms are big enough for three nights, and there is also a small kitchen for preparing breakfast. However, the narrow kitchen is not really suitable for larger cooking. The accommodation is very clean, the shower and toilet worked. Unfortunately, when showering, you have to wait several minutes for the hot water. This means that many litres of water run down the drain unused. And water is often a precious commodity on the Greek islands. Notes: In our opinion, the older house with several rooms is very noisy! There are also some rooms on the ground floor that are accessible for people in wheelchairs. As the house is located outside the village of Pollonia - Milos, as already described, a car or motorbike is recommended. On foot to the village and the public bus stop, you should expect a 20-minute walk. The access road is not asphalted! We think the price-performance ratio is excellent. And finally, our compliments to the very friendly staff. Bravo!!!

It is a good place in terms of tranquility, but you are far from everything. You need a vehicle (a quad is most recommended). The associated car rental company (Pollonia Motors) was not there at the agreed time in the morning and we had to call them several times until they finally arrived. For this reason, we arrived late for a catamaran tour that we had booked. If you don't have a vehicle, you have to walk to Pollonia, and at night everything is quite dark in the area. You can go along the beach (we went there) or along the road (where we returned). The transfer that picked us up at the port and brought us there the day we returned was very friendly and explained many things to us during both trips. Fixed price of €20 each way. Cleanliness left a little to be desired. The first day when we entered, there was sand in the bathroom, and some ants were roaming around the kitchen (we had them with us for a couple of days until we managed to get them to go away with vinegar and killing them). These ants were there because there were some small remains of food left over from the previous tenants. The kitchen was well equipped, but we had to clean things before using them and leave them on the table to avoid the passage of ants there... Apart from the fact that we did not use some things due to the bugs' obsession with so many bugs (sandwich maker, coffee maker... .) In short, it is a quiet place, away from noise, but we think it can improve in terms of the services it provides. If we returned to Milos, we would not repeat.
