We were there for the enchanted forest and stayed the night. Nice quaint place, staff was excellent and food was really good local quality. Hotel room slightly dated and would be good to have some up to date things like USB plugs, bigger TV. Water pressure was not great and struggled for shower in morning due to this but overall we had dinner bed and breakfast and enjoyed our stay.

Beware. We need to cancel our room due to changes in our itinerary and after a week of trying repeated emails, failed phone calls, and unresponsive fax messages we still do not have a response from the Rosemount Hotel. My only recourse seems to be to start a dispute with our credit card company. Also be aware, once you book they will then send an email revealing that if you cancel within 30 days of stay dates they will keep the deposit which at 80 GBP is most of the room charge. We are about 70 days out right now. .....are they screwing with us so that at 30 days out they can keep our deposit? who knows as they will not respond to repeated messages.

This is maybe a small hotel, but it is a great place to have a holiday. My husband and I, and our little dog Lillie, went to the Rosemount for a break where it was very dog friendly, (there were towels to dry them, and they got a sausage every morning, they were allowed everywhere in the hotel). The people who have the hotel, could not do enough for you. The lady who served us our food, and gave us room service, was lovely, and made our holiday. Yes I would highly recommend for people and dogs to go there as it very clean, and everything was perfect.

It was our first trip to Scotland, and Pitlochry was the perfect place to stay and visit many of the beautiful attractions in Scotland. We were so lucky to find the Rosemount Hotel, we were made so welcome. A traditional hotel, with a cosy atmosphere. Our room overlooked the town with wonderful views of the hills. Very comfortable bed, and the breakfast and evening meals were a real treat, you would never go hungry at the Rosemount. Our trip was in March so still cold, but hotel heating made our stay very comfortable. Plenty of parking, and Pitlochry has lots of interesting shops and walks.

The good bits - nice tucked-away location away from main roads, good choice at breakfast (have to book what you want online the day before), pleasant staff at breakfast (although they appeared very short staffed), good shower. The not so good: room was clean but shabby, noise insulation was poor (we could hear every footstep thudding in the room above), we found the bed extremely soft and uncomfortable. Difficult to describe but in our opinion the whole place had a very old-fashioned, dingy air about it, including lots of brown decor which we found quite depressing. Worst of all was the Receptionist, who must have been having two bad days - the day we arrived and the day we left: she was brusque and unwelcoming to the point of rudeness. We were glad to leave and wouldn’t return.

Room very clean, beds warm and cosy. Pet was accomodated and welcomed. Views overlooking the area from bedroom too. Food lovely and staff couldn't be more helpful. Evening meal available and there was a bar too in this small family hotel. Would recommend and I would use again.

Beware! Money is paramount at the Rosemount. We paid a rather hefty £400 deposit and a little later a further £1,076. We ended up not being able to stay at the Rosemount. We expected to loose our deposit but not all of the payment as well. At first we were promised some of the money back. Then we were told the money was needed to go towards the Rosemount’s New Year activities and salaries, even although we hadn’t had as much as a cup of tea there. We have exchanged a few emails one including the Rosemount’s finance rights regarding clients. But surely the clients must also have rights! The replies from the Rosemount have now dried up. We have had no replies to our last two emails. So please take care when dealing with this hotel.

Perfect stay at the Rosemount. Room excellent, very clean and comfy bed. Food was excellent, enjoyed breakfast and evening meal. Great value and very tasty. Good choice of menu and good sized portions. Staff are lovely and very attentive. Could not do enough for us. Dog was made very welcome. Will definitely be back.

My husband and I were stuck on the A9 due to storm Gerrit with my mother and two dogs. The amazing team at the Rosemount were able to accommodate all of us with one phone call. Thanks for coming to the rescue, even when you were expecting to have a chilled day after Christmas.
