Acca Patong Phuket

Patong Beach Phuket|0.09km from Palm Spring Condo
We stayed for one week in a standard double room at the Acca Hotel in Soi Sansabai. The best-selling point of this hotel is the location, being only a five-minute walk to Bangla Road and Patong Beach. Banzaan night market is also close by, a two minute walk in the opposite direction, as is the Bangla Boxing stadium. Soi Sansabai itself is a very lively soi with many restaurants, massage shops and bars and has a strong middle eastern presence so halal food is easily accessible. The room we had was generally disappointing. Our small balcony overlooked the wall of the neighbouring building giving the room a depressing feel. The room was smallish and some areas in need of maintenance. The towel rack in the bathroom was dangling loose from the wall and the shower rail was constantly falling down. The picture on the TV was very fuzzy making it unwatchable and the WIFI signal continually dropped out. The bed was comfortable, the water pressure and temperature in the shower was good although we totally lost water for about four hours on the morning we were leaving which was frustrating. Tea and coffee making facilities are available along with a good sized cupboard to store clothes, a small fridge, a room safe and also a hairdryer. We probably would not stay here again, not in this type of room anyway. But if you plan to be out most of the time it well may be suitable. The staff at the Acca were very pleasant and the foyer area is a nice area to sit and people watch in the evening. We had food delivered several times through either Grab or Food Panda and sat and enjoyed our meals in this area. We paid just over 1,000 baht per night (AUD47) through Agoda and we found out later the walk-in rate was 800 baht which is more of a realistic price for what they offer. Agoda needs to be brought to task for false advertising as they originally advertised that this room had been discounted from AUD190; never in a million years do I believe this! On a side note, if you are looking for great Thai food, then the Summer Breeze Hotel, about halfway down Soi Sansabai is hard to beat.

The location is very good. There are 3 people in the room, but the location is good and there are all kinds of food.

I actually didn’t not choose this hotel before trip. My initial hotel was disguised as hotel by Agoba but was a nasty guys apartment. We refused to stay, so I had to find new one. The Gig Hotel was like a 100 yards away, and what a treasure it turned out to be. The price was amazing for this hotel first off. The room was extremely clean and not old or worn out. The bed is on firm side, but I slept amazing and quick all 11 days. The service was really good at front desk, restaurant, pool, and cleaning crew. No problems or issues. The pool might be best in Patong Beach. It was an infinity pool on roof. The sunsets up there are amazing. We were floored our first visit to pool, and it is hard to put into words. The breakfast buffet has limited choices and short time frame, but menu changes daily. We actually looked forward to breakfast ever morning though. The food was great. The location is as good as it gets. It is literally 100 yards from Bangla Rd, and probably 250 yards to beach. Food choice, massage parlors, and convenience stores even closer. The greatest part is you near the action, but far enough away to feel secluded. The hotel is behind building on main roadway. Truly a hidden gem.

The Hotel is amazing they are so helpful, I enjoyed their breakfast and their restaurant has good food as well. It is close to everything and most importantly Patong beach but away from the noise that is important. I love the view from their roof top pool. My only problem is that they do not have an iron so pack your own iron.

I stayed here recently for 7 nights paying about £110 for the week via Agoda. Rooms may be a little rough around the edges but I can’t fault the place for that price. They are clean which for me is the most important. Of course it all depends what you’re looking for. Located slap bang in the middle of Soi Sansabai you’re about a 5 minute or so walk from the beginning of Bangla Road and all the madness that’s to be enjoyed there. Banzaan Fresh/Night market is also located close by for some cheap but absolutely delicious street food. Plenty of other restaurants, bars, shops all located nearby & also Jungceylon Shopping mall no more than 10 minutes walk. I also paid 500 baht for a late check out from my room, the staff were happy to approve my request. Room cleaned daily with replacement sheets, towels & bottles of water. For those travelling on a budget this place is ideal. No joiner fees for those that wish to being the bar ladies back. I’m sure I’ll return to this hotel next time I’m in Patong.
