Patong Bay Residence Reviews

The hotel is beautifully presented from the lobby to the corridors leading to the rooms. Pool is glorious if you're not up for the walk to the beach. The balcony next to the bed is nice to wake up to. But. That's about where it ends. The room at first glance looks pretty, but there were chips of wood missing from the around the bed finish, I'll fitting sheets for the size of bed. The nozzle of the bidet is made of plastic and was horrendously stained so we didn't feel comfortable using it. The shower and shower head were covered in limescale and scum build up, I shouldn't have to clean a hotel shower before I use it. A certain male member of staff who seems to work the later shift, the one with earrings, was extremely rude upon our arrival despite advising we would be checking in later than 3pm. When signing the paperwork for the room deposit he was very rude, rushing me and upon finding out I was reading the paperwork before signing he snatched it put of my hands and said it was a "hotel secret" seems a bit dodgy to me. Any time we would arrive back at the hotel he would cast very unsettling looks towards myself and my partner and when we requested fresh towels for our room the member of staff was rude and said we couldn't have fresh towels, despite us using them for the shower and the room instructions stating we could re order towels at our convenience. If you don't care about customer service, you could come here. But if you do care, book somewhere else.

The staff were helpful, warm & courteous. The Grand Deluxe Room is comfortable & good value for money. We ate 3 dinners in the hotel and we stuck to Thai Food. It was very good. Buffet breakfast is very good too.

Room: just okay nothing extra ordinary, not spacious at all. Service: The restaurant employees were more welcoming and friendly than at the reception desk. Food: The pastry’ 🥐 tasted awful, but loved the rest of the food. Location: Excellent, you can also rent a bike close by. Not too far from Bangla street.

The hotel is very close to Patong beach and on the main road. You can walk to the beach or take a tuk tuk which is easily available. It feels a bit expensive when compared to the size of room it provides but overall is a good place to stay.

The facilities and service were great, especially for the price. Breakfast was pretty good, no complaints. Distance to central Patong is a little bit far. They do have a shuttle that runs twice a day, but you need to book a few hours in advance. Ride share apps cost around 100-200 to get to the central and takes a while because of traffic. Walking was around 25 minutes

We were there for a month…..loved the location. A couple kilometers from the beach, which gave us a good walk every day. We got to know our favorite street food and fruit vendors, and security people at different hotels who helped us cross the street. Really nice. The housekeeping staff did a great job. But the front desk folks were kind of unresponsive. They did not speak English very well, and didn’t give us tips or information very well to help us out. We broke a cup, and they charged us the equivalent of $8 to replace this dollar store item. The counters were really low which was kind of weird. There were no kitchen utensils pots pans knives, forks, spoons, dish clothes, dish soap, or dish towels. Nothing! The only kitchen stuff we had were two little cups, like a demitasse cup, two saucers, and two little spoons. Never had the breakfast because we thought it was very expensive. We ate noodles next door every morning instead. Didn’t use the pool. Air conditioner in the “kitchen” didn’t work Weird little plastic sofa and set up with the TV. Kind of a sterile feel to the place, but we would stay there again

Grand Deluxe has a better layout than the Deluxe, can close the doors and it is still spacious. Recommend asking for kitchen utensils to make the most of your stay. Stayed here before, extended my stay this time, would stay again. I don’t know of a better hotel in Patong for long stays, lovely staff

Love the location. For Muslim travellers, Patong Bay is the best location for you. Just 5 minutes walk to Masjid. Easy to find halal food. You can find one just across the road. Easy to get tuk tuk. Can walk to Patong Beach, but you can also get tuktuk and pay around 200-300 baht per trip. The hotel facilities is very basic, a good place to rest and sleep. The swimming pool is small but clean. The breakfast is very basic as well, but mix with non-halal items. But for me coffee, toast, fruits and cereal is good enough. If you want roti canai and teh tarik, you can find it across the road. Recommended for Muslim travellers.

This place is really amazing for the price, location and items in the room. I honestly enjoyed my stay! I’ll definitely be returning when I go to Thailand again. What a pleasure it was to be there. Thank you, Patong Bay Residence.

Place was very clean and cheap. Staff were fluent in English and could help. Would not recommend the massage there, it’s really bad.
