CityNote Hotel (Guangzhou Zhujiang New City Taikoohui Store)

This is the worst hotel I’ve ever booked. 1. The hotel booking seems to depend entirely on luck. I booked three rooms, and only one matched the photos provided - and even that one had a strong, unpleasant odor that was unbearable, forcing me to request a room change. The other two rooms were significantly smaller than expected and did not match the listing at all. Overall, the size and presentation were misleading, and we felt deceived. 2. The soundproofing is extremely poor. The walls seem very thin, almost as if they’re hollow, and I could easily hear noise from other rooms, which made it hard to rest. 3. Although the hotel is supposed to be non-smoking, I saw guests smoking openly while the reception staff ignored it. 4. I was given the wrong Taobao parcel by the front desk, which was quite inconvenient. 5. The reception staff provided poor service and appeared uninterested in addressing guests’ concerns. The only positives were the convenient location and the housekeeping, as the room was kept clean and well maintained. Overall, this was a disappointing stay. I would not return and would advise others to book at your own risk.

I had a great stay at CityNote希诺酒店(广州珠江新城太古汇店). The hotel is excellent overall — very clean, well-maintained, and clearly pays attention to small details. The staff are genuinely helpful, especially for foreign guests, which made a big difference during my stay. A special thanks to the front desk team, Xiaohong and Xiaoyu — they were professional, friendly, and always ready to assist with anything I needed. If I had to point out areas for improvement, the external entrance of the hotel could be upgraded to better reflect the quality inside. Also, my room was directly facing a school, which can be a bit noisy at times. Overall, a very positive experience and I would definitely consider staying here again.

Hotel is near the malls, very convenient. Everything's fine except that if this is your 1st time it's hard to find the hotel.

We have been assigned guestroom 510 for our stay. However, there is an obstacle for us, old age couple to move in and out especially moving out as there is a height difference between the corridor and room floor. The only guestroom with a high stair!!! Indeed, I had a fall at the corridor but no one from the reception to give help with our room just 5 rooms away from the reception. Attached pictures for easy reference. Furthermore, the warning sign should be permanent display at the doorway when EXIT!!! Obviously, there is no red warning display when walking out of the guestroom!!!

Check in was smooth and the family room was rather spacious. Bedding and pillows were comfortable too. Central location right next to Taikoohui with a metro exit round the corner. Free amenities like ear buds, steam eye masks, band aid, cotton buds, masks and etc were an added bonus. Front desk staff was super friendly and polite (especially the males who seem to be alot more helpful that the ladies). Special mention to 王翀 for being super helpful and nice with any of our requests/enquiries. He was not only prompt but also went out of the way to help us contact the courier when our parcels were delayed. Thank you for making our stay memorable!
