We booked the romance package and it was WONDERFUL!! Check in was smooth with friendly front desk staff. When we entered the room there was a bottle of bubbly and chocolate covered strawberries waiting for us. The room was clean looking and fresh feeling. The bed was so comfortable, we had a very restful sleep. We had the steak dinner with mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. Steak tender and juicy, mashed potatoes were buttery with the perfect amount of salt and vegetables were the perfect texture. we ended the night with a late night swim. We look forward to coming back to this particular location!

Have stayed here many times as daughter went to University there. Excellent rooms, super comfortable beds (I would love to find out the make of their mattress!). Jake the Front Desk manager is just excellent and seems to know in advance what you need. Rooms are clean. Hotel was clean. Staff were all friendly and highly efficient. Very covid safe and clean. Join the Wyndham club for the best discounts. We liked the breakfast and the coffee was remarkably good, surprisingly so for a hotel breakfast. It is near many restaurants and away from downtown which makes it safer and much quieter. Felt very safe. Near major shopping too.

I would give this one a 2.5. Check in was fast, looks like they have tried to update the hotel, carpets etc. We walked in our room and a bad smell smacked us in the face. My wife said it smelled like rotten hot dogs and it did not go away the whole weekend. Rooms are small but adequate, fridge, microwave. I think the smell theme was in the whole hotel, stairwell smelled like pee and hallways smelled like pot, hmmm. Breakfast was Ok but they should ditch the covid protocols and let people get their own breakfast. The servers did their best but if you forgot something you had to stand in line again. The location is good, plenty of restaurants near by. I was going to give a 2 but breakfast and location bumps to 2.5.

You would not know that you are actually in the city of Peterborough. The breakfast is very good. Great variety each day. The pool area has a nice outside sitting area. The beds are comfortable as well. Our stay was very relaxing.

My brother and I were up in Lakefield visiting a friend. We wanted a centrally located, clean hotel. The Village Inn fit the bill. It is located right in the middle of town and an easy walk to restaurants and the canal. Staff was friendly, room was very clean. Decor is certainly not hipster but fine. I'd call it homey. Hotel was very quiet but we were there off -season. We liked it and will be back. A note: the restaurant in the hotel is closed so we ate at other spots in town. Not a problem as all were close.

My husband, daughter and I stayed here for five nights, it was wonderful. When we called to do our booking Margaret was so helpful, we needed the two rooms and with her help we were able to rearrange our plans to fit that schedule. The rooms were comfy, clean and very quiet. Margaret left provisions for us to cook our own breakfast in the morning, which was ideal. Some mornings we were up early, others we were just enjoying our surroundings, having coffee on the deck off the kitchen so we could eat when we wanted not on a schedule. Watching the birds and squirrels. The bacon, fruit, muffins were delicious and one morning home made croissants. An added bonus tiramisu cake for a evening snack. The living room was a very comfortable room, had a fireplace which we used one windy wet day, also a cozy window seat overlooking some gardens. Very central location. Margaret made it clear to us that provisions would be provided, we would do the cooking which we were very happy to do. We were three adults but we had plenty of room, the stay here was a very relaxing holiday. If I lived closer I would book myself in for a week when I needed that time to unwind. Thanks Margaret for a perfect stay. Trip Advisor - further in your survey your compare this to a hotel, it is not a hotel therefore none of those questions would apply

I would give this one a 2.5. Check in was fast, looks like they have tried to update the hotel, carpets etc. We walked in our room and a bad smell smacked us in the face. My wife said it smelled like rotten hot dogs and it did not go away the whole weekend. Rooms are small but adequate, fridge, microwave. I think the smell theme was in the whole hotel, stairwell smelled like pee and hallways smelled like pot, hmmm. Breakfast was Ok but they should ditch the covid protocols and let people get their own breakfast. The servers did their best but if you forgot something you had to stand in line again. The location is good, plenty of restaurants near by. I was going to give a 2 but breakfast and location bumps to 2.5.

My husband, daughter and I stayed here for five nights, it was wonderful. When we called to do our booking Margaret was so helpful, we needed the two rooms and with her help we were able to rearrange our plans to fit that schedule. The rooms were comfy, clean and very quiet. Margaret left provisions for us to cook our own breakfast in the morning, which was ideal. Some mornings we were up early, others we were just enjoying our surroundings, having coffee on the deck off the kitchen so we could eat when we wanted not on a schedule. Watching the birds and squirrels. The bacon, fruit, muffins were delicious and one morning home made croissants. An added bonus tiramisu cake for a evening snack. The living room was a very comfortable room, had a fireplace which we used one windy wet day, also a cozy window seat overlooking some gardens. Very central location. Margaret made it clear to us that provisions would be provided, we would do the cooking which we were very happy to do. We were three adults but we had plenty of room, the stay here was a very relaxing holiday. If I lived closer I would book myself in for a week when I needed that time to unwind. We booked the romance package and it was WONDERFUL!! Check in was smooth with friendly front desk staff. When we entered the room there was a bottle of bubbly and chocolate covered strawberries waiting for us. The room was clean looking and fresh feeling. The bed was so comfortable, we had a very restful sleep. We had the steak dinner with mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. Steak tender and juicy, mashed potatoes were buttery with the perfect amount of salt and vegetables were the perfect texture. we ended the night with a late night swim. We look forward to coming back to this particular location!

Have stayed here many times as daughter went to University there. Excellent rooms, super comfortable beds (I would love to find out the make of their mattress!). Jake the Front Desk manager is just excellent and seems to know in advance what you need. Rooms are clean. Hotel was clean. Staff were all friendly and highly efficient. Very covid safe and clean. Join the Wyndham club for the best discounts. We liked the breakfast and the coffee was remarkably good, surprisingly so for a hotel breakfast. It is near many restaurants and away from downtown which makes it safer and much quieter. Felt very safe. Near major shopping too.

My brother and I were up in Lakefield visiting a friend. We wanted a centrally located, clean hotel. The Village Inn fit the bill. It is located right in the middle of town and an easy walk to restaurants and the canal. Staff was friendly, room was very clean. Decor is certainly not hipster but fine. I'd call it homey. Hotel was very quiet but we were there off -season. We liked it and will be back. A note: the restaurant in the hotel is closed so we ate at other spots in town. Not a problem as all were close.
