Brentanos Apartments - A - View of Paradise

Our stay was superb! We had issues with our booking by ***********, so once we arrived the hotel was able to exchange our room to bigger room and we paid some extra money so we could have late check-out. The pool is huge with gorgeous views. Our family apartment is suitable for group of friends (4 persons) as it has 2 bedrooms with 2 private bathrooms or family of 4. Beds were comfortable and the surrounding is quiet so we had very good sleep. Breakfast is like half a’lacarte! Many choises and 2 juices and ice tea. It was delicious! Very good family restaurant just 5 min walk down to the beach. Airport is 15 min by taxi. Port is 20 min by taxi.

I promised to write a review as this hotel deserves it. This was our first stay at this incredible hotel, huge thanks to the owners and to the staff, everyone was great. Hotel has got a perfect location, not too far from the airport. You can easily go and explore the island of Corfu. In the neighbourhood you can find Sisi’s palace - Achilleion Palace - which takes you back in time - worth visiting if you like these kind of places. We loved the cats too of course. The hotel was quiet and absolutely clean with really comfy beds, aircon, pool and huge balcony with an amazing view of the sea. Breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend this hotel, will return for sure if we visit Corfu again in the future.

The place is at a great location, the shops, restaurants and beaches are easily accessible, however a car is advisable to have in general when visiting Corfu. The apartment we stayed at was super tidy and clean, cleaning service was provided each day, the place has strong wifi, air conditioning, balcony, living room, comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchen where you can prepare your food, but if it is not the case there is breakfast available with a variety of choices and freshly prepared eggs based on your taste. The view from the balcony was absolutely gorgeous, we could see the boats and airplanes from the balcony. The hosts were very friendly and gave us a lot of advices on where to go including a map as well. I don’t mind paying in advance as it is really worth it, however if for any reasons you cannot show up, it is better to have insurance for your trip, as there is no refund available. There is a fairly big swimming pool at the reception and bar area with sunbeds with a view at the sea. Would come again.

Good bits: Great views, clean apartments, friendly and helpful family staff, lots of sunbeds with no selfish sunbed towel reserving guests. Not so good: There is a very steep 300m walk up from the main road past houses with aggressive guard dogs. There is a further 100m walk uphill if you are in the furthest block. We found this walk very challenging to do on a daily basis. Currently there is no warning about the hill in the property description. There are little or no pavements in the whole area and the roads are very narrow with dangerous blind bends and fast moving traffic so walking, especially at night is not advisable. We ended up using taxis everywhere, not cheap but essential in my view if you do not want to hire a car. They do not take cards on the property, only cash for bar or meal bills which is inconvenient and unusual as even the little kebab stall in Benitses accepts card payment.

Excellent stay at this gorgeous hotel. It certainly had a "view of paradise". The family running couldn't have been more perfect as hosts. Thanks heaps especially to Manager, Panayiota - utterly professional and nothing was too much. Delicious breakfast and fully catered for as a strict vegetarian. This place is amazing. We have been there 3 times and love the Brentano family who offer the best service you can imagine. The rooms are all nice and clean and the place is very quiet and relaxing. We will go back again for sure. We can also recommend the breakfast - almost all of it is homemade!

Our hosts were super helpful, informative and friendly. They are really lovely and caring people. The apartment and its area was wonderful, our room was cozy, big and very well-equipped. We saw the sea every morning from our bed, amasing view. The accommodation has daily celaning service and they do a really good job. The parking place was large enough, we could park easily. Good, strong wiif. The breakfast was healthy and always delicious. Must try bruschetta and greek ice coffee and srumbled eggs.

We had the best family holiday ever at Brentanos Apartments - so, so glad we stayed here rather than at one of the big resort complexes. Panayiota & her family were amazing - they gave us great suggestions on what to do & practical tips on getting the local blue bus into Corfu Town. Panayiota also organised for us to go on a day trip to Paxos & Anti Paxos to see the blue caves & swim in the incredibly turquoise sea.

The views at Brentanos Apartments are incredible as are the breakfasts - these were a huge highlight for us - always something new & delicious to try - fresh fruit (watermelon, figs, plums), home made kumquat marmalade, Greek yogurt & honey, bruschetta, apple cake, eggs, bread & more! The pool temperature was perfect & very relaxing to swim in or sit & read by. For dinner we loved visiting local Taverna Tasos (10 min walk - also with great sea views) & took the bus into Benitses (more eating options) & Corfu Town (pretty reliable bus service both ways once an hour a 5 min walk from the apartments). 

Corfu Town (25 min bus journey) is a beautiful Venetian town with plenty to see plus lots of shopping, restaurants & cafes. Once in Corfu Town we also took the green bus to both Kassiopi & Paleokrastitsa from the Green Bus Station (busy journeys but straightforward) - both nice day trips. 

We honestly couldn’t have chosen anywhere better to stay for our holiday (family of 4 with 2 kids aged 11 & 14) - awesome views, lovely family/run hotel, perfect pool, spacious family apartment with two bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room-kitchen & our own terrace overlooking the sea & just a short bus ride away from Corfu Town! 

The light & sense of space were amazing - as was the sunrise - worth getting up at 6.15 for! We really didn’t want to leave & hope to come back! Thank you, Panayiota & family from the Bennett family!

Firstly I would like to give a huge THANK YOU to all the team at Brentanos Apartments, you were so warm, welcoming and friendly, you are all amazing! This accommodation can be summed up in one word, "fantastic". All the facilities were in perfect condition and the room was very comfortable. The pool area was great and breakfast was so fresh and delicious - full of great homemade treats. I couldn't leave a review without mentioning the view! Just WOW, that's a sight I would never tire of waking up to each morning. make sure you are up early enough to see the incredible sunrise. There is a lovely little taverna five minutes from here and two bus stops (to Corfu Town and Benetes) within walking distance. The small village of Benetes was also in walking distance (about 25/30 minutes or so). The airport is 15 minute taxi ride. Honestly, just an all over fantastic place, I would highly recommend. Stayed for a week and came back so relaxed. Thank you again Brentanos, we are going to recommend you to all our friends and family. James and Joe.
