I was so willing to give this hotel a really good review. We have stayed there before without any bad experiences. This visit however wasn’t like the last. The following review probably upset me more than it will the management of this hotel, more on this later. All was well for the first few days, we were made welcome and the room was as it should be except for my bed which creaked and squeaked all night long. This however did not get me down any, and we just laughed it off. It all fell apart when we returned one evening and switched on the air conditioning, we heard the fan come on but the room didn’t cook down like it usually did. I went down to the reception to inform the person there that there was a problem with the AC and he came to our room to take a look. After he had fiddled with the control panel he was unable to get it to work. He said he would have it seen to first thing in the morning. It should be said that we had glorious weather in Peguera that week and we seriously did need the air conditioning, so you can imaging we were more than a bit concerned. I asked if he could put us in another room for the night, his reply was that the hotel was fully booked and that there were no rooms available. I then asked him if he would send up a fan as we thought that might be enough to let us get to sleep, his reply was, No we don’t have any fans, he was apologetic but absent of any other remedies to our problem. I say our Problem, because it seemed to be our Problem, more than it was the Hotel’s. By this time it was approaching bed time and the room was like an oven, we knew we wouldn’t sleep in the room so we sat on the balcony until morning. As it got a bit darker the temperature became more comfortable, and to be honest, sitting on the balcony all night was probably one of the highlights of our holiday looking back. A little bit about us. I am seventy two with diabetes and a mild heart condition. My wife of fifty years is seventy one, she too has a heart condition and suffers from Parkinson’s Decease. One of the added complications of that condition is that she does not take unplanned changes very well, extreme hot and cold can make her trembling a whole lot worse. Now to the Manager Having come down the next morning I was about to go to the reception desk and ask if there was any likelihood of the AC being fixed soon. Seeing the hotel manager in the dinning room I approached him to ask the same question. His response was truly shocking. He was rude and totally dismissive of my attempt to speak to him, he looked shocked and extremely displeased at the thought of a mere guest having the temerity to ask him a question, he walked away from me gesturing to me to follow and stopped at the reception desk, saying they will deal with you here. In due coarse the problem was resolved by to very nice gentlemen mid morning. I can honestly say that the staff in this hotel are generally very nice, the fact that they could not work out some con

Superb location very close to the beach, welcoming by all staff, very clean and room was a good size. The breakfast has a great variety of things to eat and drink all very fresh and great value for money. Will certainly be back for another stay . Spa was excellent but the staff didn’t speak a great deal of English, however I had a full body massage and really enjoyed it.

Fabulous hotel, really clean, staff were brilliant and really helpful. Comfortable and spacious room, great spa and sauna facilities too. Breakfast included was plentiful with a fantastic choice. Great location close to beach and main street. Would definitely recommend and return

Recently stayed at Grupotel Camp de Mar, had a great experience and decided to try their nearby Peguera hotel for comparison. From arrival to departure we had the most relaxing time with an abundant yet varied food offerings at breakfast and dinner. The spa facilities were a welcome addition to our end of day chilling by the pool. A short 50 meter stroll down to the Main Street and its array of bars, restaurants and shops with the beautiful beach just beyond that. A great location, a great hotel with pleasant and helpful multi lingual staff to make it a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Gem of a hotel. Total gem of a hotel spotless and smells divine. Staff are so pleasent and helpful nothing too much trouble. Lady cooks the best omelette and pancakes. Breakfast is so fresh and tasty lots of options. Room was amazing sea view coming back again for sure.

Excellent stay, comfortable location near the beach and cosy restaurants, small shops, markets and bars, bus stops but at the same time quiet and calm. Facilities such as restaurant, night bar and outdoor pool and spa available and not crowded. Elegant indoors and helpful staff. Very clean rooms, checked daily. Local food available at the restaurant as well as other European cuisine. Hotel that has its history in the region. Would love to come back there some time! Recommended!

We stayed at Nilo & Spa on August 16, 2025. Unfortunately, our room’s air conditioning was not working when we checked in. We reported the issue to the front desk, but it took multiple conversations with different staff members before it was finally addressed. Initially, the staff insisted the AC was working, which created unnecessary delays. When we returned late at night, the room was still not cooling properly. After further follow-up, the front desk eventually arranged for the HVAC to be fixed by the next morning, which solved the problem. The process, however, was stressful and inconvenient, and it felt like the staff were unwilling to acknowledge the problem at first. This made our stay far less comfortable than expected. Additionally, while the hotel does provide a weight machine, we found it very difficult to access it. Different staff members gave us conflicting answers, and we were not able to use it consistently during our stay. Overall, although the AC issue was eventually fixed, the lack of responsiveness and poor communication from the staff made the experience disappointing. Based on this, I would hesitate to recommend Nilo & Spa to others.

We stayed at Nilo & Spa on 08/16/25 and unfortunately had a very poor experience. The AC in our room was not working, yet the front desk insisted it was fine instead of addressing the problem. After repeated complaints and asking to speak with management, they finally promised either a repair by morning or a refund. The AC was eventually fixed, but only after unnecessary stress and arguments with multiple staff.

Peaceful and quiet surroundings with a great location close to the beach. The food was really good, cocktails were excellent, and the staff were extremely kind and welcoming. The only downsides were some ants in the room and that the rooms weren’t very soundproof — in the mornings you could hear the cleaning staff in the hall and other guests. Overall though, still a very relaxing and enjoyable stay.
